- Saturday, the 31st
- Since I'm on a roll with the worthless updates, I figured I would fix-up the most worthless of the all -- FtRPG! The console is now much more usable and informative, and will do just about all the work for you, especially when it comes to combining new techs.
- Thursday, the 29th
- I bet you've been hoping for a pretty big update with all this time off. Welp, sorry, but it is just me working on QBASIC with fervor ever since I discovered it was released into the public domain.
- Friday, the 18th
- New splash page up today featuring the Lynx in the Planetfall logo. Why? Because the winter pic was up prior to this. Wow.
- Saturday, the 5th
- Today marks the debut of Battling Dragons version 4.5, complete with new functionality such as Auras, Scaring, Feeding, Barriers, and generally improved formula, skills, and tactics!
- Monday, the 31st
- Okay, this really isn't a new update, but now that the month is almost over, the first ever Shadow Aura lottery is about to commence! Every victory earns a member a ticket to win a special elemental monsta, drawn at month's end.
- Tuesday, the 11th
- The new proposal system has had community scratch boards added to it. Anyone can edit these files, which allows for a much faster coordination of a story plan than the discussion boards could allow.
- Saturday, the 8th
- I finally fixed a feature my host pulled out from under me -- the BD bestiary voting booths! No one may have cared about that, including me, but that was preventing discussion boards from appearing on HTML pages, including every bestiary page. The forum main page records recent discussions at the bottom to keep such updates in an easy-to-find place.
- Thursday, the 28th
- Since there isn't much I can do for the REWS as far as making the story-writing experience any better, I instead improved the story-planning phase. A new proposal system allows members to suggest and collaborate on developing works.
- Thursday, the 21st
- Wrappin' up the REL anniversary classy -- by fixing something in desperate need. PokéBox has had every error I can think of removed from it, so it should respond more cleanly and quickly. Also, I put pictures in there. Why not have pictures, I say.
- Monday, the 28th
- I added the leader history to the BD Battle Board. To make it worthwhile, it not only lists every member who has surmounted the board, but also some quick facts about their time on top. Plus, the RE League's gym leader functionality is now Mozilla-friendly, too.
- Wednesday, the 23rd
- You may not have known, but today marks the eight-year anniversary of when the RE League first appeared on this site. You also may not know that I never play it anymore since it only works in IE. Well, not anymore; everything from the player's side works in normal browsers now. From the gym-leader town-creating side... that's another update.
- Thursday, the 10th
- Welp, after a little experimentation, it seems that RSS feeds are going to be the next attempt to keep visitors at least informed of this site if not at it. Thus far, there is one for the forums and one for the main page updates, and yes, I do hate my hit counter.
- Wednesday, the 2nd
- I put up a test comic by the name of RE Illustrated. While I was at it, I also implemented a basic gallery system and threw up the old BD Championship comics, too.
- Friday, the 21st
- Amid the sea of updates for the Christmas Contest, such as a Shadow Aura elemental chooser for monsters and terrains, I also added the Writing Unblocker for the REWS which throws out random inspiration for this site's struggling authors.
- Wednesday, the 12th
- New splash page pic (finally), and some work on the upcoming Christmas contest, including the long-awaited (maybe?) linkage of Shadow Aura accounts to master accounts! Plus a new Unscur mask icon.
- Friday, the 30th
- The code for the REWS discussion board was changed today. It doesn't look any different, and it may actually perform a bit worse, but it is highly scripted and incredibly expandable, so expect to see all sorts of similar discussion boards popping up around some pages on this site.
- Thursday, the 29th
- In the spirit of new version, the Writing Systems sees yet another makeover in the ReWriting Savior. It doesn't look very different, but now stories can take on multiple paths and futures, splintering one story into a number of hopefully better fates.
- Wednesday, All Hallow's Eve
- Shadow Aura v2.0 finally makes its long expected debut. The old Shadora Collections has been removed, and only the new remains!
- Saturday, the 29th
- Better late than never. The limited-edition relic Blue Moon and the first-ever pack monster Chang Nahm (the Water Elephant) were added to Battling Dragons as prizes for the Birthday Contest.
- Thursday, the 30th
- I've implemented a system in Shadow Aura by which monsters can obtain altered elements inside of battle (through certain special abilities) and out (through even crazier effects). The monster's library page even changes to show the updated elements.
- Friday, the 10th
- After months of background work, the new-and-improved functionality of FtRPG is out and more worthless than ever! But just so you blokes get something real, I also threw in some contextual, mouse-over help as to the goings-on post-by-post, which will be expanded in the future.
- Sunday, the 29th
- Anonymous authorship is now optional in the REWS, so now good authors getting credit overrules crybabies. I also added previews to the REWS discussions.
- Friday, the 27th
- For a li'l Shadora update, I just added indicators as to whether an attack is strong or weak against an enemy monster, plus instant notification if you cannot make a great move because you're trying to place a monster on an element it is weak to.
- Monday, the 16th
- I added some new perks to the new Battle Board, including a micro-viewer for all familiars owned by each rankee. Logged-in members also see a customized view of only members they can challenge, which is why there is also a complete standings view now available.
I finally opened up the option to set the pace of battle: regular, slow, and fast (for spars). That's been an option as long as NDR's been out, but I never let players pick for some reason.
- Monday, the 9th
- The eight year anniversary of BD sees the destruction of what was wrought on the seven year anniversary! Sorta strange... Battle Board 2.0 replaces the defunct title belts and, well, the Battle Board, which now serves as a dual ladder ranking system and fight post.
- Saturday, the 7th
- 7-7-07 was indeed a lucky day for BD. It received a much needed code-overhaul, condensing its functionality into one giant file, making future updates much easier (which is a good thing, considering the impending anniversary). Most notably, the page to sign up and adopt new creatures looks spiffier.
- Sunday, the 17th
- In an effort to make my site more main stream and appealing, I am adding stupid, worthless features to it that will most likely break across browsers -- just what internet idiots enjoy! So enjoy the news and REWS expanding boxes.
- Friday, the 8th
- In a move I'll probably regret, I've opened up the REWS to non-interactive, single-author stories. If it turns out that I've opened the floodgates, some restrictions will be added.
- Friday, the 1st
- Reality's End is eight years old today. How sad is that? I'll express my apathy over the member apathy with a new splash pic -- the first in half a year! Ouch!
