May 27, 2003
I finally have the remaining pictures up for Garm, and in record time. The bestiary page for it has also been finished. Since the next new familiar will depend on a vote, I have fixed the results page to show number for a creature's current standings in the voting race, modified to account for possible foul-play.

May 22, 2003
Presenting my fifth creature in Battling Dragons -- Garm, the Guardian of Nifleheim. Only half of its pictures are up right now; the rest will come soon. I have also improved the Edit Display feature of BD by having it show you what the thing will look like, plus I have changed the format in which familiars are displayed and reduced any valor earned from battles by one point.

May 15, 2003
The last picture to finish the new Nidhogg has been drawn, giving its Drake stage four different spells. This is allowed through the also new-come alternate spell learning, which allows high-level familiars to differ in the three spells they learn based on how it was raised. I have also expanded the Poison Plains in the BD RPG.

May 9, 2003
The Nidhogg Shadow Blast picture has been redone. I also increased the power of some middle-staged familiars' spells and changed some of those for Kamaitachi and Basilisk altogether (for the better, I hope).

May 2, 2003
I have added the redone Dark Wing picture for Nidhogg. I also finished up on a script that helps me churn our Battling Dragons RPG scenery at an accelerated rate. Hopefully, I shall get a chance to use it once finals are over with.

April 25, 2003
Huh, today my servers were moving about, so no actual updates could be posted. That is not going to stop me from making another new Nidhogg Drake image, adding the Alphyn, Alcyoneus, Ass-Bittern, and Wyvern to the bestiary, or from adding new images to the Hydra and Salamander's entries.

April 18, 2003
I hoped it would never have to come to this; today, I have taken precautions to blocking cheating members from Battling Dragons. I have even had to make a script to help track down certain offenders. The Catoblepas and Bonnacon have also been added to the Bestiary.

April 11, 2003
An even newer picture of the Nidhogg Drake was added, and this one is actually good. I have also added the Peryton and Calopus to the bestiary. More surprising yet, I worked on the default BD RPG.

April 5, 2003
Shadow Aura: Battles now has better functionality, working AI, and for the first time ever in SA, Atox as a playable character. The Bennu and Celphie has also been added to the bestiary, along with new pics for Pegasus, Urus, and Leucrotta.

March 30, 2003
I've done a very stupid thing today; another installment of Shadow Aura has been added today. Whoo! New projects! This one is early on but different from the last in that it is more of a tactics game. I've also added a complete listing for the voting results for the Bestiary.

March 23, 2003
Bestiary entries have been made for the Kamaitachi, Jabberwock, Tatzelwurm, and Cwn Annwn, as well as for the Amphisbaena and twenty-two other Battling Dragons potentials. Sure I am making Garm next, but which creature will I make after that? Go to the Bestiary and vote on which creatures you like and which you do not.

March 19, 2003
After tons of research and pouring through of myth and folklore, I've made four of the best descriptions for Nidhogg, Hrimfaxi, Monoceros, and Basilisk on the 'net. That is mostly just because they aren't copy-and-pasted from other sources. They also have creator's notes in them, which you might find interesting if very bored.

March 12, 2003
This is a little fast for updating, but why not? I've really overhauled the profile editing, which is not much easier to use. I've also compiled some Forum Help which might come in handy. Finally, I, on an insane impulse, made a strange virtual-item transfering system for the forums, which is easier to see than explain.

March 9, 2003
One of the reasons I decided to start Battling Dragons was to make a non-stock source of mythological monster information. Well, I took my first big step today by starting the Battling Dragons Bestiary, which gives every creature an entire page devoted to it.

March 2, 2003
A lot of new anime MIDIs have been added today, including some from Cowboy Bebop -- the best anime ever -- and more from Slayers -- the second best. I've also completely redone the Links section, which was riddled with broken links, to feature only working sites and no images.

February 23, 2003
Well, the big R.E. League extravaganza ends with a huge promotion and purging of the ranks (I really gotta remember that it starts on the twenty-third and ends on the twenty-first). To mark the return to normality, I've made a new, non-R.E. League entry pic and added a slew of new features to the BD RPG.

February 20, 2003
There were quite a few problems that resulted from recent R.E. League edits, but they are all sorted out now. A new feature has also been added to the R.E. League, Events, which are non-battle sequences that can be used by gym leaders to further the plots of their gyms. I've also added a lot more back-track linking to the R.E. League.

February 15, 2003
More spotty updates but well worth the wait -- Legend of the Gilded Jewel now has held items in it. A sizeable list of tools have been added to the shop as well. This also cleared the way for Pokémon which evolve through the use of trading while holding certain items like Steelix and Porygon2 (some of my long-time favorites).

February 8, 2003
Pokémon in the R.E. League now have happiness ratings (although not visible, like in the cartridges). This means that Frustration, Return, and Happiness-based evolutions now work correctly. I've also fixed the R.E. League search page's layout.

February 1, 2003
Hey, the guy who made the Jabberwock finally finished its final pictures, as well as remaking all of the first ones, thus allowing me to reallow it in Battling Dragons. Moreover, he made another creature as well -- the Cwn Annwn. While I was adding them, I spiffed up the search page to be easier on the eyes.

January 29, 2003
Gym leaders can now purchase extra battles for their towns using their funds through the new system of Gym Extras. I've also improved the stat function in the BD RPG to list information that is also mentioned in the log-in screen, such as level-up and spell info.

January 23, 2003
Do you know what today is? It marks the first time I made an update on this site concerning my work on the R.E. League, meaning that I had to make a new splash page pic for it. Also for the R.E. League, I've completed my site management script and added some new features, including one that informs me as to how inactive some gyms are so that I may remove them from the list.

January 17, 2003
As seems to be tradition with new features to this site, many fixes have been added to the BD RPG. I have also added several smaller features to the site, such as links to game accounts in forum posts and more ease of training BD creatures.

January 10, 2003
I finished the rest of the Nidhogg Hatchling pics and started the Drake. Since I have also made the BD RPG up to a point of saving and adequate functionality, I have completed my promises of winter work.

January 3, 2003
First update of the year, and it is a good one. I've added an entry pic (the first one ever on R.E. for New Years) featuring the shiny new Nidhogg Shadow Blasting. Also, I have redone the Nidhogg Hatchling, which is multiple times better than the former one.

December 28, 2002
I've been coding a lot for the BD RPG. I've improved its flow system of its scripting (especially for if-checks, which were way off) and added a lot of basic over-used functions to allow for faster programming. Little things like those can mean hours of time saved later.

December 22, 2002
Okay, I am working the Battling Dragons RPG once again. This time I have added a rather useful function. I have formulated a bartering system, which is a sort of shop system but allows for much, much complexity. I have included basic transaction functions and listing capabilities for anything that can give items.

December 15, 2002
What's this? A new entry pic? I haven't made one of those in a long, long time, but there finally is a Christmas splash page picture. I have also put up another restricted board in the forums for elder members to converse in.

December 9, 2002
I've added a way for Battling Dragons users to alter the display of their adopted familiar. Not only can the placement of the image on different sides of the text be changed (instead of always on the left), but what information can be displayed is also alterable, including such things as showing skills.

December 3, 2002
I have added a few MIDIs from Final Fantasy Adventure and Kirby's Dream Land. A volume control for the pop-up feature on the MIDI NeXtreme has also been added to customize desired decibel levels.

November 26, 2002
Restricted forums are now, well, actually restricted. I've added the protocol to keep unwanted eyes out and added a Master Account linker to keep them in. If you want to get into the Gym Leaders Forum, you now have to prove that you are one by linking your R.E. League and Master accounts together by editting your account. I've also added four new smileys.

November 19, 2002
Some nifty features have been added to the BD Player Rankings that allow sorting by Modified Points and disabling of showing inactive creatures. I've also instituted a new system for creature data retrieval that makes two-form BD creatures' transitions between steps a lot smoother stat-wise and allows for divergent paths for form and spell-learning.

November 12, 2002
I have got some more basics done for the BD RPG, meaning that I am going to be working on it a lot more in the days to come. I have also begun to remake the pictures for Nidhogg. So far, I have all of the images for the Egg form redrawn, not just rescanned.

November 6, 2002
Borrowing an idea from my older brother's web site (which I actually programmed, making this less of a theft) I have implemented the MIDI NeXtreme Radio in the Reality's End side bar. Not only does this finally give the much requested ability to stop the music, but it also gives the ability to play another track and to open the radio in a pop-up window. Also, after a song plays for a certain length of time, the music will instantly randomize to a new song.

October 31, 2002
The Artificial Intelligence system for BD has been expanded yet again. Not only can one now choose up to five Commands to take, but the limits on how often they are repeated have been improved. Number of repititions are still there, but now a command may be chosen to act endlessly or until it accomplishes some certain effect. The entire thing is done with a new JavaScripted console, too, for added ease.

October 24, 2002
With BD's new challenging system, a method needed to be instrumented to stop members from receiving unwanted challenges, regardless of the challenging member. Because of this new use for the block system, I've made a way for members to manage their block lists in their account log-in screens. I've also done some standard debugging from all the recent edits.

October 17, 2002
Well, I've finally cracked and given the members of Battling Dragons a way to battle without web sites. Now any user may be challenged, regardless of web site ownership thanks to new "Challenge This User" links located in View Account pages and to a new scheduled check for when Battling Dragons battles should take place instead of the old web site viewed based one.

October 13, 2002
All week has been devoted to little more than Arena Terrae. I've done so much debugging to its game play that I might soon be able to take it out of its Beta release. I've added a new Use command, enhanced the sign-in page, added the ability to purchase items, and made several new sorts of Crystal Shards that fall from experienced enemies, each with their own powers.

October 6, 2002
I've added some more flavourful text to Battling Dragons so that attacks won't constantly be "This was wounded by the spell." I have also redone the battle linking due to many web hosts having problems with how I used to link them. I've also reinstituted AT: Quest.

September 30, 2002
People actually seem to be liking Arena Terrae this time around, so I've re-added it to the list of side bar links. I've also refined the sign-up procedure in a way that one character may be made at a time instead of all at once. With this new method, players have the option of creating their own golems or using stock, pre-made golems. I've also added an HTML chat room to it so that everyone can use AT -- not just those that can access Reality's End IRC chat room.

September 24, 2002
I have fully implemented the system through which users who have raised every one of their Battling Dragons familiars to level twenty-five can adopt another creature -- the legal way -- using the same account. That's why you've noticed Entropy replaced with NightChild, the Hrimfaxi, for the past three days.
This also means I had to handle ways to for members to be able to display their secondary creatures and to allow searching and ranking placement of these reserve creatures. Users may switch between old and new familiars freely.

September 19, 2002
I've really hit BD hard with over a week of hidden work exploding into fruition. An entirely new and near-perfect damage formula now exists so that early battles won't take forever and late-level battles won't end so quickly. I've also reapportioned the powers of spells to accommodate for the new system.
Another nifty new feature is full-on elemental effectiveness. I've added an explaination for it in the new revamped help file for BD.

September 13, 2002
Ooo, it's Friday the Thirteenth. What better way to bring it in than with a new Battling Dragons creature? That's right. Mad Goblin, long time player and creator of the Kamaitachi, has made a second creature for the game -- the Tatzelwurm. Also, something wicked this way returned -- Arena Terrae is back for now. I want to see how it will go over this time around.

September 7, 2002
A lot has been done to the Forums. I've fixed the deletion function so that rid-of posts will not appear as the most recent reply to a topic. I've also created a banning system and was forced to use it. The member number system was also fixed; it was recording even dud accounts, so if you notice a dropped member number, that is the reason.

September 1, 2002
I've finished the Basilisk in an unprecedent addition of eight pictures in one update! Sure, it might be September now, but I promised to finish before the end of August, and that I did. Scanning and uploading it were an entirely seperate matter.

August 27, 2002
I've finally got stat XP (or effort values, depending on where you were schooled) in the R.E. League. Now your Pokémon's stats will become much, much higher as they fight. Sorry for the lack of updated, but I just got at college and although my connection is great, it is very limited as to the times I can get on. I have to walk about a freakin' mile just to get to a lab.

August 20, 2002
All pictures for the Basilisk Egg have been made (and one picture re-made). The second stage has been started as well. Also, creatures in Battling Dragons may choose two commands to use for their battle AI, one after the other, instead of the previous one action they could chose before.

August 15, 2002
In record time, another creature has been added to Battling Dragons -- the Basilisk. I've just added it to the code and one picture thus far. Unfortunately, I've also been forced to remove the Jabberwock from being adopted any more due to the lack of work being done by its creator.

August 9, 2002
To make my week-long absence worthwhile, I've added an unprecedent block of forty-four TMs and HMs to the G/S/C edition of the R.E. League's shops. There might be more available here than in the R/B/Y shops now. I've also uploaded a new walk around script containing the surrounding areas of Maelstrom City.

August 2, 2002
I've finally made some better pictures for the R.E. League walk arounds as well as a few new pics to be used, too. Speaking of the walkaround, I've finally managed to debug everything that I have so far. The View Account function and the Clear Account function are now compatible with the new version of the R.E. League, too.

July 28, 2002
The REL LOTGJ Walk Around is up. (Could I possibly use any more initials? Oh wait, I could: REL LOTGJ WA) Unfortunately, not everything inside of it is up, like certain battles and the Legendaries. I've also rescanned the final three Monoceros pics. Apparently I had done something wrong in editting that made them appear different from the others.

July 22, 2002
I finally got the Legend of the Gilded Jewel walkaround up, although it requires heavy work. The good news is that all of the paper work is done, so I only have to translate it into code for it to be finished.

July 15, 2002
The R.E. League: Gemini was made today and, with it, Legend of the Gilded Jewel, the Gold/Silver edition of the R.E. League. In order to play it, you'll have to sign up under its respected area. I don't have a link to my gym up or a walk around made, but I have made a few battles and a new entry picture.

July 10, 2002
The final three pictures of the Monoceros have been made for Battling Dragons to celebrate the anniversary (which was actually yesterday... shut up). Also, the creator of the Kamaitachi has made some new pictures for it which look a lot better.

July 7, 2002
I've done much work on the G/S R.E. League. I have all attacks in the game (although they might not all work properly). This means that it is done enough to display my progress as a Beta Test page in tribute to the original R.E. League (for those two of you that may remember it).

July 1, 2002
Well, a slight connection problem has put a minor set back in the G/S plans of the R.E. League, but I have managed to get a considerable amount of work done. One major accomplishment was finding, shrinking, and saving pictures of all one hundred new Pokémon.

June 25, 2002
It's going gold! I have begun the processing of the R.E. League to ready it for its new Gold/Silver addition. I have gone through every file to ready it for the transition as well as done some much needed maintainance. All I need to make is the actual battle procedure (which is already more than half done thanks to the already instituted REL) and it will be done.

June 19, 2002
Okay, I've redone the look of the main page yet again, and this time I think it'll stay. It's got everything I need and room for stuff I shall. While tinkering with looks, I also tidied the BD Adoptable. It's more compact and challenges in a new, unmanipulatable way, too. On top of that, I've added a tracking device to it so that I know on what pages the familiar is being viewed; if the account's link goes dead, the tracked ones can replace it.

June 12, 2002
I've finally cleared up the REL Gym List. It is most unfortunate that I have to report about half of the gyms went dead after I moved to the current domain. Only thirty-five gyms remain currently.
I've also added a whole slew of new MIDIs including some Rolling Stones, Queen, The Doors, and Aerosmith. I've also fixed the Music page to list all current MIDIs on the site as of now (I never even put the Beatles MIDIs on it).

June 8, 2002
I added some more Monoceros pics and fixed up some of the sloppiness caused from its addition. Speaking of additions, a lot of new classic rock MIDIs have made their way into this site featuring selections from Eric Clapton, Tom Petty, and others!

June 1, 2002
This officially marks the third year of Reality's End being in operation. To celebrate, I've made a new entry pic as well as done something special for the occasion: put up the new, fifth Battling Dragons creature, the Monoceros. With my new ink pen and professional quality colored pencils, I should be able to churn out more and higher-quality monsters with ease... hopefully.
