There is much you need to understand about what our world has become. There are more threats here than what spirits lurk in the darkness. We dreamers who fight to cure our city of this nightmare have another enemy. There are those among us who do not want this darkness to end or care not if it does, at least. They harvest the spirits' energy for their own selfish needs. It belongs to those who are not with us now, those who cannot wake. By purging the spirits, we can return the stolen lifeforce to those who slumber.
It does not matter how many are destroyed; they will keep coming. We must stop them from feeding on defenseless population. More will come. They always do. The spirits are made of energy -- the same energy that they steal from the sleeping, the same energy we dreamers use, must use to regain control of our world.
It does not matter if you are willing to fight for our cause; all that matters is if you can. It is the only way to stay here in the world of the waking and, more importantly, alive. |  |
