This challenge was made only a scant week before my birthday. I didn't even want to bother with it this year, especially since these contests have been declining, but it seems that I shall never be able to escape them. Even if I receive zero participants, people will still demand they be created if only not to be joined.

There was no joke this year; things were pretty straightforward. After not wanting to make a new birthday challenge, Bimblesnaff happened to make a comment, and I went for it. This year, the name of the game was fanfic, but not just any fanfic -- an RE fanatic fiction. With only a page of length demanded, it seemed simple enough, but I still did get more than enough complaints.

The prize list was made without any real thought: five virtual forum items, blank token, lots of gym funds, Master balls, three Wyrd Waters, a bonus monster for BD, and supposedly something for END, but I couldn't think of anything. Unlike previous years, there were prizes just for submitting works this year, whether or not they were even good. All were BDRPG items: first submission gets a PenSword, fifth gets a ThinkingCap, and if there were a tenth submission, they would have received a BaconWithWings.

Winner: Boyachi for a hilarious piece based on a forum joke, Hugging Booth.
Runner-Up #1: Draggy1234 with a piece about tournaments that makes me wonder why he doesn't write more, Final Fight for the Gift Box.
Runner-Up #2: Zedd (the new runner-up queen, replacing SailorSassyStar) with Ramble o' RE.
Honorable Mentions: Shinyumo (who wrote Through His Eyes, a story by a familiar's perspective) and Bimblesnaff (who wrote his typical rag)
