In recent years, the Christmas Giveaway has been allowing members to chose and get a brand-new B-Monster species of their choice in Battling Dragons to be received sometime over the next year. Well, with my work ethic, it always winds up being somewhere towards the end of the year. This particular year, I have nine familiars to make (unless you want to count the Phoenix and the Pheonix as different monsters): Calopus, Phoenix, Ladon, Pegasus, Cerberus, Hippocampus, Zaratan, Salamander, and Skinfaxi. As of the beginning of this contest, I have zero so much as even started. Still, I should have them all done before 2008. And if I don't... sue me, by which I mean point out that I haven't made the monster yet (just not in the forums, please) and burden me more with your choice of another B-monster species to make which you will be able to receive once complete! Yup, this can be awfully vicious cycle if anyone pays attention. So what better way to get me working than with another contest? (Hey, it worked for the original BD Race, didn't it? Oh, wait... it didn't.) Only this time, it entirely centers around B-Monsters, which are much easier for patrons to make than full ones; only one image is required, and its quality does not have to be that good. The contest is won by sending me the single image of the B-Monster you drew. The prize is not only the instantaneous adoption of said monster, but also a contest-only Blue Moon relic, promotion on the BD main page, and a Wyrd Water. You can win this contest as many times as you would like; all you have to do is submit more monsters! (The Blue Moon prize can only be won once per member in this contest, however.) B-Monsters only require a single image and a single form, however, which should make things much easier. If you want to, you can pick from an incomplete monster in the bestiary, although it is encouraged that you bring in new species instead. This contest ends when I make all nine of the creatures on the aforementioned list. As such, no members are allowed to draw any monster featured on this list. It would really suck of either of us started making the same monster since only one will be used in the end.
