I may have it mixed up or the time incorrect but I thought after 5 days the battle was over. In the Thunderplains I have been in a battle since the 18th at 3:56EST. Should that battle be over or am I misunderstanding something? Is the time listed when they iniated it or when I accepted the challange?

It's from when the battle is accepted.
However, due to constant testage and busynesses, Ems hasn't... gotten to making it yet. *cough* Really, you'd expect the loser to retreat once things started getting bad, so the limit should never be reached in a perfect world.
Anyhoo, that's how its suppose to go.

My un-doesage would not be the culprit in this case. Your fight from the eighteenth (whether when it started or when you made an ignored challenge) would not have been canceled until about an hour ago.
You are acting under the assumption that cancellation will occur to the very second; it won't. Much like BD, the scripts to check for this sort of thing are only run once per day. It seems a waste to do it any more than that, really.
I did get them fixed... after a slight ugliness Um... does anyone know what five days divided by sixty seconds is? I have a feeling that it will equal some peeved members...

5 days = 7200 minutes
7200 minutes = 432000 seconds
432000 seconds / 60 seconds = 7200 (no units)

Hey Mint,
I have 2 battles that are still going on. The one in Blackwood started on the 22nd. The one in the vanishing lands started on the 24th. The vanishing lands Im not sure about the timing on as I started the attack and dont remember when it was accepted. The one in Blackwood however Im sure was started on the 22nd. Is there still a 5 day rule for a battle?

Yes, but I do believe I mentioned before (probably) that I am currently running it manually at midnight, and when I am busy, I cannot get around to it.

I just lost a battle from the time limit...and I remember how me and my opponent both had 30 tiles, I defeated six troops of my opponent, my opponent five of mine, and I haven't since received an e-mail about any next move although I had the setting set to always and I still checked it periodically.
Simply wondering if I was supposed to win that.

If you only defeated 6 of his, he might have placed some on the field before the end to gain tile majority. Someone else tried this on me a few days ago, but I still managed to win that one. Don't think I'm gonna win our match though...

If you didn't win it, you obviously were not supposed to. I mean, that is just common sense.
It is not like there is a different program that figures the winners here; it is the same battle script that you use when placing troops, just done up through shell instead.
My guess is that you miscounted something. Either he had some secret kill or you both in fact had the same number, resulting in sudden-death fun.
I am also going to assume that you both brought and used ten troops in this battle; otherwise, this conversation is entirely meaningless.

When the program says that I cannot attack more than once per day and "come back tomorrow to attack", am I correct in interpreting this as 24 hours from the time of surrender of previous invasion?
I gave up (rather quickly) on my invasion of Lymfada's Avashire because I looked several moves ahead and found that I had no hope...even though we were pretty much even, whenever I would place a unit Lym would kill it...so no point in raising defeat-count.

Um, no, it is a day from when you made the last attack, not finished.
How lame would it be if you could only initiate one attack at any given time? You would never conquer the world at that rate...
Rather, it is only one new attack per day. Marching on the opponent counts as attacking, not doing battle in a place you have already been.
By that logic, being attacked would count against how often you could march out, and that's just sad.
And "one day" actually means twenty hours, not twenty-four. I round for fun.

Like I said, I had the e-mail setting set to always, so if my opponent did pull off something at the last minute, I'm pretty sure I would've received an e-mail about it.
And with the sudden-death stuff, it's the defender who routs the invader, right? Since I was defending an area at that battle.
I did bring in 10 troops to battle, but didn't yet deploy all of them. I don't know about my opponent, though.

I think there may have been an issue with RE's email script/server last night.
All of my battles are set to notify me whenever an opponent moves, however, last night I did not receive an email when either of my opponents moved.
It seems that everything is working again now though. You can't expect perfection from a free game!
