Oh, so the auto-retreat is what's breaking that thing. Interesting.
Well, obviously, you didn't read that post well enough, 'cause I prolly responded to it (there have been several) to say that I had to fix it after the error was reported; don't see why there'd be anything you could do.
These voices in my mind tell me it's killing time.

Oh ok. Well I hope I was able to help in some way. I was half asleep and only quick scanning the one post. I dont know if Foshi even plays anymore, so if not I'm gonna take his areas so I'll post here if this happens again. Thanks Mint.

I am pretty sure he just gave up. A lot of people who get a lot of terrains do that.
Originally, TSC was designed to be the RE game that actually allowed large amounts of activity as opposed to the low-impact games typically on this site, but with the way Shadow Aura fizzled out after only a few months of existance, I think version two is going to see it change to a ladder system, one army per continent.

All in all I'm finding Shadow Aura to be a good game. I love the basic idea: Mythical Creatures battling in armies for territory. Once I get really good maybe I'll challenge you sometime... haha. I need to build up a better army though. So your creating another version for it or is this version 2? Cause I know you have that "Old School Shadora Action" link on the main page.

A complete replacement for Collections, including the much needed replacement for the collecting system (as that was stolen from Rune Casters ).
And they aren't mythical creatures; each one is a unique monster made by one of the creators, not borrowed from mythology like BD. Two myth games would be pushin' it.

Lol. It's all good, it came out pretty fun anyways. I'm not very smart on mythology so I dont know these things lol. I've been looking for ways to make games like these and I just CANNOT find any way to do it. I've also been trying to work on some monsters for BD, but I dont have a scanner, so pics might be a tad bit difficult.

Or impossible. Typically, without a scanner, it is just downright impossible. Don't even think about a camera; those never take artwork.
And it doesn't matter if the game is enjoyable or not: it entirely depends on how long it can hold someone's attention. I can point you to a multitude of far, far worse on-line games that are crawling with members quite simply because they are stupid, bland, unoriginal ideas that the masses can get behind. Feh.

Yeah so I'll probably just use the information I collected for something else...maybe a school report. Bleh. Well since we're on the topic of attention keeping games, I'm addicted to Runescape along with 100000 other people. Yay.

No, RuneScape is actually one of the better ones. It's innovative. You have skills in it that are used to complete quests, mini-games, etc.
Despite the fact that some people just sit there and mine away at the same dumb rock to raise their mining level from 72 to 73 over the course of a week, it's still miles beyond some other games.
I speak of BARP, at least I think that was its name. Now this game was crap. The battle system was simple math (add attack, subtract defense), and that's all. There were cities, there were terrible graphics make on MS Paint, enemies of stolen artwork from across the internet (Google image search, no doubt), random encounters, and, of course, a global chat. That was all, as far as I could tell. Nothing else existed in the game. I don't think there was magic, special abilities, nothing. Just attacking and weapons with higher damage boni.
That is unoriginal crap.

Hahaha, I spent about 3 days trying to get my mining up, and it gotta pretty annoying so I pretty much gave up and made a noob prayer-beast pure melee. But back to the subject. I didnt mean to mention runescape as a crappy game, I was just mentioning that it can hold your attention.
I love the whole MMORPG theme, and how you can see anyone thats on your world by just walking down the street, and the market and skills systems are amazing. Sometimes I just wish that they wouldnt charge so much for a membership. Sure five bucks a month isnt bad for most people, but I can barely pay the $9.95 for my dial up .
But I'll say, runescape is probably the best online game out there right now. It's almost like a whole other world, and its able to grab my attention for hours, even if I'm doing virtually nothing. 10 out of 10.

Another problem. I dont know if its a special ability or what, but Metal Cory is attacking me at Ej and I cant see his troops. The first one I placed was killed instantly too...

'Cause you placed them on the exact same spot. There is only a one-in-a-hundred chance of it happening, but it sure does seem to occur a lot...

They sure can't live right on top of each other. Yeah they died. The programming can't handle two monsters on the same location, and 'twould be unfair for only one to live, especially with the first-move mechanics of Shadora cancelling all overlaying patterns. If it didn't cancel overlaying monsters, too, well then, that'd just be hypocrital...
I suppose I could put in a check for whenever a player has no (other) monsters placed a dual-placement erasement to give the proper message... Of course, I need a way to check for dual-placement, and send the monster data is erased upon it occuring, it remains a bit tricky.

Hey, that only makes it bad combined with all the other factors. Paper Mario has a similar arithmetic system, and heck, it's one of the greatest games of all time.
As for MMORPGs, I've never played one nor do I intend to. When I need to waste my time, I do so via Tetris DS.

Similar; not exact.
Notice how Gobbo didn't say the arithmetic system; he said battle system. That was the only thing you could do in the entire game: attack (if there was magic, which I don't think there was despite magic-using classes existing, it was just stronger attacks). I don't think there were any other factors or actions whatsoever, unless they in all of their infinite wisdom provided a worthless defend command for a one-on-one RPG. * stores up a BadFormula *

Here is something I did not know happened in game. One of my monsters just died of old age lol. Not from fighting or from defending (yeah you all know the guys that put one creature on board you put your defense up and they retreat ie killing your lvl 2s, as they do it multiple times) but yes our creatures have a finite lifespan. hmmmmmm wonder if we feed em health food if they live longer?

Yeah, it does sorta mention that on the SA main page. Y'know, as an update... next to the word "Update"
As for those insto-retreaters, don't worry about them. Do you have any idea how many wounds rack up on those things? Why, draggy1234 and rainman -- the most prominent and stupid of the perpetrators -- have thousands of points of wounds on level ones. Pretty much, ya blow on 'em and they are gone for good. And this is considering that I haven't calculated wounds into death of old age, either.
Monsters were supposed to live only for one year, but something happened (mostly the vacuum of interest in the game facilitated by that month of internet disconnectivity after it was released) that caused it never to be programmed.
Meh, just two months till Shadow Aura Ladder, the way I see it.
