while searching for unconquered places, i found 3 safe areas. all west. not one under any other name. i think that a safe area is better than a couple of lands scattered about

Okay, first to whomever said I was going to conquer grevja, no I'm not. I don't have enough troops 1, and 2 I'm not interested in it yet. Besides as MG and others pointed out, I'm not the only decent battler. And draggy, I had to leave for like four hours last night, and thinking I wouldnt be back put everyone down. Thanks for just swooping at like 1130 and winning... (I realize that this is a tactic but it makes me mad) Expect to lose Toneng in about five seconds.
Oh and it is 4 safe zones, five if I win back Toneng...

You're not the only one who has to worry about stuff like that happening, VinnyD. Luckily for me that was a Friday evening. Sunday through Thursday evenings I go to bed at around 10:00 pm EST, leaving a nice gap for any moves to come in before a battle ending.
Can't wait for MM's improvements to the game in general (no pressure intended).

Yeah, those midnight runs are killer. I have always wanted to do something about those, even before the game was out!
I think a top list would also solve some heavy challenge issues. Then people would know who to prey on in a timely manner Suckers!
The big scatter from the bulk release of the map contributes to the non-stop fightin', tho'. You people really need to concentrate on building up nations with some safe areas over sampling from all over the globe.
How hilarious will it be when large blobs of control eek out? It will be a natural evolution in this game what with proximity having so many benefits... if you guys don't, new people will.

As of right now, I have 3 areas under my control...probably will remain at three, too, as I have no chance against Kato.
Wow, Draggy...do a lot of people attack Falling Place or did you just relocate the majority of your Lv2 troops there recently? I mean...I only have two Lv2 creatures total.
Y'know, surfdude, theoretically you COULD withdraw only some of your troops...which is something that I'm planning to do from Shiningwood to let some of the young'uns gain experience in that always-assailed land and to spread my Lv2 units out (or to use them to invade others' areas)...problem is, doing so might be risky if someone invades Shiningwood with a horde of Level 2s...meh.

Meh... I can't really say I have much standing. I DID own a certain part of land for a short period of time, but then the person who lost it came right back to claim it. I don't like the tactics some people use, but then again, they are TACTICS; as the enemy... I guess it would be natural for me to not like tactics used against me. Still though... using the timing of when the battle ends, rather than the strength and tactical placement of your troops just seems... wierd. I guess I've probably played too many Strategy games...
Ok, so I can't say I'm the LOWEST of the low. I am pretty close (I think) to getting a level up for a few of my monsters. Also, I almost always come quite close to victory... my opponents usually winning through the timing circumstance. So pretty soon I'll probably have a few level 2s, and then maybe I'll have the strength to resist against... that tactic. Why do I do this to myself?!?!

Umm, MintMan, permission to make a suggestion? I know you hate these, but...
I think you may find it useful to actually note in your battle help that the victory conditions are listed in order of cardinality. Right now, I am fighting in a battle where my opponent happily took out all of my troops currently on the battlefield, not realizing that I am four tiles up from the last placement...unless this is a devious trick of sorts, I think this just shows that the person cared nothing for tile possession.
