it seems that west and draggy are the biggest honchos in shadora. if one of them takes over the continent,is it, BOOM, theirs, noone can get in?

In the unlikely scenario that one of them was able to conquer all fifty-plus lands, yes, no one would be allowed in it.
However, this one-quarter of the first of three continents -- barring such wacky things and underwater, underground, and outspace -- leaves a lot of space for them to conquer.
Technically, however, if anyone ever does manage to get all areas... they win the game.
Ya hea'd me, win. Game over. Everything resets and we start from scratch. 'Course, that would never happen.... ever.

goblin, you havnt started yet, right? cause in my little study you don't have many areas. of course, i'm one to speech-inate. im gonna lose my last area because of my lack of a home computer.

I just figured out how TSC works about a week ago or so, and now I have two areas...hopefully three if I conquer the area I'm attacking and successfully defend Shiningwood yet again 
...By the way, if someone manages to conquer an entire continent, can you still not technically attack the coastal areas of that continent? I mean, can't you conquer a little coast-line village and then, once that safe spot is vanquished you can continue on to attempt to conquer the remainding parts, bit by bit?...and then once you conquer some, other people come and attack, and...it's no longer monopoly again...er, autocracy...wait...

LE, I think MM already answered that. If somebody does manage to conquer a continent, then nobody can get in.
Although, actually attempting to conquer a continent is a big feat in itself. I currently have 11 lands, and my notification count has stayed around 7-11 battles, with only one (I think) being me on the offensive. In my opinion, it can become stressful to just maintain that many lands (and this new attention I got probably won't help).

Coastal zones are of no effect; only the borders count. Technically, no other areas border a coastal zone, so one need only conquer the more inland areas to make it considered safe.
Don't make no sense, you say? Sure it does! The far-out areas at sea are considered uninhabited or just not worth noting. Hence, nothing can come in from that far out. It is crazy enough as it is with forces being able to drop out from no where onto an unsuspected underwater kingdom, ain't it?
So coasts do not matter. Skies matter, 'cause they vertically touch flat land, but the edge-of-the-world is considered a wall for all intensive game purposes and thusly convey safety.

Heh, a lot of my (West's) land came from taking uninhabited lands and putting one guy on it. Since then I decided to change my strategy, and have lost much land (based on the fact that I was changing, not the new plan). I am confident I will soon be dominant again. Right now you'll notice that there are nowhere near enough monsters for someone to win all the lands. So why try, just isolate yourself in a corner, and wait!

Vin'd makes a good point. He (and I believe draggy) got the bulk of their lands from just plowing through the new, unclaimed places when they were released. All of the places I've had have come from actual battles, save the two places I took at the start, which I'm pretty sure I've had to fight for again after losing.
That's another thing, I keep on losing battles since I don't observe when they are ending. That screws me up a lot 
Also, Vince may have a lot of the world, but he's also had troops actually die

ive got an out of the way place. i have been attacked twice, the first retreated and the second put every troop in the feild at once, letting me win and level up 5 of my troops at once!

Meh, I only had 4 areas to begin with - now 3, since draggy attacked me the moment he got 10 new monsters... meanie.  I'm hoping to win that back, tho.

Actually right now I have no home internet access, motherborad burned out. Hopefully I will only be without home internet for about a week. New motherboard on the way. One thing of note to you all if you keep attacking the same persone remember that if he wins you build him up so you start attacking him with lvl 1 monsters and all the sudden he has lvl 2 ones. Is there any kind of scoreboard would be cool if we could see how all our rivals are doing without going through each land. I know im not doing real well but im not doing to bad either with 7 lands.

What Lymfada said is true. My area Shiningwood has been attacked repeatedly ever since I marched into it a long time ago, and, well, I already have a Level 2 Dok there, so...bewares!

What can get annoying with that, for me, is when I'm forced to defend with an all-nymph battalion against an enemy who does have mature troops in the invading battalion. I've already run into two mature Doks in two separate battles.

Maybe if Draggy had a cluster of lands instead of a random spattering he'd be doing better. Hell, at least some of mine are safe from attack now, with more if my battles go well. Not to mention hes heavily in sea and that crap. And don't even get me started on leveled up troops, whenever MG mentions my deaths he forgets that Im also rich in mature troops. Even the mightiest walls succumb to a prolongued beating, so Shadora falls into my hands!

And what mighty walls? I pray you aren't speaking of Phallut, the place with the worse assigned troops that could never be reinforced with a new batch that you continual pummeled and were only able to final conquer by bring in your Lv 3 general and at least two Lv 2s. Yep, you couldn't possibly be talking about that as you grand act of supreme conquering because then you'd just be a blow-hard-ass I mean, bragging about a place that, by all right, should have been beat on the 2nd or third try, wow, that'd be swollen headed
Draggy, you are acting as though a Lv 2 is a rare find. Why, just in my last battle (to end), I got 4 more Lv 2s, which maybe doubles my total count, possibly only a 50% uppage.

Is everyone blind? I have more places than him. Wtfmate has more than me. I think Lymfada has just as much, if not more. Same with Draggy1234.
West has... one safe land, is it? Wow. That means crap.
He's really not all that great. If I felt like looking up people with more places, I could, but my connection is crapular right now.
