Nope, no one cares about the Shadow Aura. However, they do care about the Dok! All fear and love the Dok! Hug it, and receive flowers!

Nice...I never mastered Endless Night's Dream because I'm no good at puzzle games ('cept Tetris, which isn't a puzzle game), but this might be different because it looks...interesting.

Of course we care. It means we got a new game to try. I started and am confused already (go figure). Im looking forward to the FAQ for this one. I love strategy games.

I don't think there is going to be one. Well, at least not much of one. Most any thing you'd have to know is explained at the bottom of most of the pages.

Most of the confusing aspects to the game is not so much how you do things but just what you are in fact doing. I've seen that a few of you have moved out to land, and that in itself is an accomplishment (took me a bit to figure, too). I can't wait 'til someone gets ballsy enough to contest over another's territory. Fun fun fun!

Well, the Latin teacher at school kinda cared. Maybe. Especially since all his sophomore students were joking about killing him to celebrate.

But since I don't take Latin, no, I don't particularly care. It's just another day for me.

ok first set of questions. What does number collected mean. I noticed it goes up. How do you get more armies or is 10 the limit? I looked and did not see this one explained.

Heh. That's normally explained when you sign up, but it was removed due to it being the first day and the aspect it deals with not being available.

The "Number collected" is the number of times that particular type of creature has been recruited by all players total, thus showing the rarity. So, since everyone today gained one Unscur when signing up, the number currently shows how many people have signed up. Super-rare, crazy-styled monsters will have, possibly, less than ten for long stretches of time, making the owners quite envied.

Armies can grow larger than ten, but you can never get more than ten of a particular species. In all three levels (nymph, mature or elder), a Dok will still count towards the limit of 10 Doks max. Additionally, a marching army (or battalion, not to be confused with the member, Battalon) cannot hold more than ten monsters of any kind ever. You can have multiple armies across many terrains and effectively infinite in your reserves, so just a single grouping is limited in its number.

Yay first SA attack evar! I think Ive got a bit of this...

Apparently there are only some rules so far and some strategy etc. But nobody knows what is going to happen. Except that I will rule somehow, and that Peanut Butter Monster better come out soon. This game confuses me.

The game confuses everyone. Hel, it even confuses me, and I made the friggin' thing.

It was designed to be the thing that everyone always wanted in a game -- something that anyone can become number one in almost immediately. Well, there is no top list yet, but when there is, it will only reflect how many areas you control. How many you have controlled or how well you fought controlling them is of no importance; only the here and now is.

Other coolies thing for those who haven't tried a march yet is that if an enemy is non-responsive.... you win. Instantly. You gotta be in it to win it, folks. There is no such thing as an inactive account around here.

Peanut Butter Monster? Great... now Gobbo's gonna bring back that annoying sig Mean Look Don't 'spect it for a while yet. I think he has one hundred monsters to draw out (with all of their forms) before he gets around to that.

I was attacked, too. Wonder why that happened? Everyone else must have have been contested...

Looks like I am going to need to explorb the map sooner than expected. Good thing Gobbo's continent is in da woiks.

It also looks like I shall not only be required to make the already-planned upon unowned area search, but also an uncontested search! People with land wouldn't need it as you want to conquer areas adjacent to ones you already own, but a newbie would want his pick right away.

Hundred-plus Unscurs. Man, did that number fly!

There's a time limit on battles, right? Is there a sort of clock to let people know how much time is left for the battle?

The time limit is five days. This isn't some sort of rapidly-interactive deal.

I did not want to display time remaining because it should never come to that. One party should retreat in order to keep its soldiers livin' longer. If a battle times out or finishes without retreat, oh boy are there consequences (for the loser)!

'Cause, y'know... troops in this game can die. Die die. Permanently. Thus why you can recruit so very many.

Ok I have a questionon combat. As I am getting my head handed to me, I have lost 6 troops I have no idea how. When I click on my remaining troops nothing I can do with them. Is battle locked on the positions at the onset? Am I just impatient and will get to move shortly? Do you know if you kill other troops? My strat in this first battle was to put troops together so they could support each other, seems to have backfired as they are all dead to from what I can see a much smaller force. I dont mind retreating but have no clue as to what I have done wrong, feeling like West rolled in with tanks and I was throwing stones lol.

  Hard ta say, Lym.

Your troops die whenever an enemies pattern goes over them. Says so right at the bottom. That, or they were Shadow Dartsed by an Unscur.

You don't know what happens when an enemy dies? You see this li'l goof:
  Why?
Paint, of course. I forgot to replace it, so... I kept it Tongue

  Dying is fun! Whee!
On old topic, both of my terrains were attacked! If you want to play it big, you got to play it hard!

  On other topic, Lymphnode's Q:

In battle, all re-enforcement has to be done before a general/leader of your troop is placed on the map. Once this happens, you're stuck with what you had there. I'm not sure if that's what you were saying or not Slanted Mouth
If all six of your troops died at the start, I guess you chose a bad place to put them. They must have been hit perfectly by one of West's attack patterns, if that's what you meant.

Positions cannot be changed once placed. The battlefield is marked and that's how it will be unless some affect goes by or someone dies.

There are no turns in TSC. You can just choose when you want to act. You can go all at the begining, wait for your opponent to throw down some troops, or slam them all down at the end. Of course, if you do that, the five days will prolly pass.

Here's an interesting fact, tho', Nodo: You're winning! West is entirely being beat by you. You have 37 tiles to his 16. Sure, he defeated a lot of your monsters, but, in doing so, his tiles were placed off the map or on bad spots, making him suck. So, congrates to that win.

As for your other battle, it looks to me that you can still place all of your remaining troops. Just make sure you're placing them on a spot that allows them to be placed (ie: not weak to it).

I'm not sure if that answered anything or not. So, in closing: hrhr, West lose.

If this made sense, I'm obviously not trying hard enough.

Lol, second day - and Lym attacked me. But only with one Unscur. I'm not really sure I fully understand the game, but I was able to take that out. However, it said lym still had 2 tiles - was this from the elemental overlay of the Unscur, or are there more monsters that I can't see?

The game itself looks fun, Minty, but I gotta admit that I'd like a FAQ or something, if you've got it planned.

Edit: Is there a way to view other people's battles, or what lands that account holds/is contesting? Just wonderin'.
