How is it better? Is it easier to make a hit in rock, hel yea! You ever listened to some of the lyrics of rock? Here's a classic:

. . . And yes, that did hit high in the charts, and most of you who were alive in the 90s, should recognize that song if you ever heard it.
The difference between rock and rap mainly is that rock is more musical (not the genre) and rap is more lyrical (not the dance type).
For rock, you don't even need a singer, for rap, you can go acappella.
IMO I think it takes more to make a hit rap than it takes to make a hit rock, simply due to the constraint of the fan memorization. People can usually pick up the instrumental lines fairly quickly, its the long drawn out rap lyrics that take over as the main attraction that are so difficult to master.
The point being, its past midnight and I am rambling, thus I will catch on my forum reading and not make another crap post tonight on the forum boards because I know it would suck. Hooray for natural hinderance working for my procrastination.

This hardly has to do with FtRPG Topics at all! There for, I will have to issue closing remarks on the matter:
Rock is so not easier to make a hit in. I swear, it seems a whole bunch of times I see the "new hot rapper" on SNL or the such, the main attractions just swings his arms in the air saying "Uh uh, yeah yeah," awhile someone else, someone who can actually sing or whatever, takes care of the REAL lyrics. Wow, the talent. Make someone else work while you take the credit.
And rap is largely about shooting people or smackin' tramps or being a rapper, which is really just odd. Rock songs mean something, for they were all drug induced. Best lyrics ever come from acid
And what are you counting songs from the '90s for? The '90s didn't have rock! Rock has to be some odd 20 years old to be good. Not "soft" rock, not "contemporary" rock, not "gay" rock, no. Just classic rock. Zepplin, Beatles, Stone, these are rockers. If its played on "The Mix", it ain't rock.
Of course, rap use to not suck. As said, in the days of Hammer. He was good, some rappers around that time were good. Now they're all just lame and over-glorified. If you ain't got a clock 'round your neck, I say keep on walkin'!
And that's the end of that. Now, back to, shock-of-shock, the original topic! ... which is really the only topic!
Unrelated to anything that some people can affect, I think its high-time that original Rumblo gets the axe. After two semesters of being around, it has been going on for far too long. Which would make it the second RP to end. That only leaves two abandoned RPs and the rest being active (since added to this month). Pretty good doin's, I'd say.

*ahem* The wyrm, much like the chough on the same sign earlier, is of no mythical significance whatsoever and was only included as a light stab of satire or something. It, like the bird, will not appear again as they are not really part of the story in any meaningful way.

You know what, we were wondering about that, too (well, Ems and me). We got nothing. The closest I (and a place full of RP junkies) could figure is using a macro to train skills without your actual presense, which applies to massmogs/MMORPGs and not RPs.
I figure it has something to do with automating another's character
Man, I thought if more RPs were made, it would get people's creative juices going, but, apparently, the barrage of new is just causing further stagnation of all RPs through all time. Damn my poorly thought out schemes!

Gee, Eagle, why don't you mess with PI some more?
I mean, it was bad enough when you constantly went against everything Dracon wanted -- which was simply "don't mess with the plot too much" -- but you also keep trying to incorporate FtRPG elements into the frickin' stories, making terrible and unreadable.
RoR was supposed to be an FtRPG story, and still almost no one used the Techs in it. PI is just supposed to be a story flat-and-out, so please stop making your posts even more unreadable by mentioning your Monk-magic-learning-tude which they don't because monks are hand fighters, not servants of light under any phantasy or reality setting.
I don't know how you could even use your supposed magical attacks anyway seeing as how you would only be able to attack other authors which is precisely the reason this sorta thing only worked for RoR in which everyone competed against one another.
Sure, maybe it was a bad idea for Dracon to start an IAS with a big, surprise plot in mind. I mean... that sorta goes against the point of making a story with multiple authors when one restricts what it is the authors can even do, but he did create the topic so he can say what goes.
I was going to add to make the "new" PPW you put in just some drunk with a Carbuncle, but then Dracon added and took your non-sensical modifications on the chin like he has every other time you go for a plot-alteration.
I mean, going back through your posts, you can see how you have actually been planning to integrate these plots about the PPW whom Dracon wanted left alone, such as the PPW actually being an adult... which I still cannot find the relevance behind.
Truthfully, however, little the PPW does in PI makes much of any sense. I mean, I can understand why he put a curse on the Brigand leader when he was running through the forest, but why exactly did he return to attack them?
Things were so much better for AtP when we all corrected each other's glaring errors or posts-that-shouldn't-be...

Geez... FoY is moving slow... Personally, I'd like to get out of the Celtic mythology, but that's just me. I'd also like to note that since we're movin' around a lot, there will be many opporitunities for new characters. Just 'wait for the opporitune moment'.

Anyway, I think PI kinda died because of the Dracon stipulation of non-plot touching. It is really hard to think what to do now. I mean, there is a wizard, Aki is coming back... now what? Maybe Dracon needs to be around more to add to the bleedin' thing if he is the main plot drive behind it.
I did not think FoY was going to slow. I really like that you are adding to it more regularly, tho', Rook. Of course, I rate a stories speed by the rapidity of posting, not how fast the story progresses. I am used to stories that are long, 'cause long is interesting. I hate it when things progress too fast. That ain't an interesting read.
Celtic needs to go, and I am pretty sure that is where they are out of what with Annwn being done. Problem is... where? No one knew anything much about Celtic myth or lore, but that wasn't the problem. No one here (besides Gobbo and I, really) knows much about any mythology other than some vanities. The problem becomes how no one wants to look up stuff about the mythologies.
Celtic is a bit difficult to find. We just need something that is a little more accessible in texts... but not Greco-Roman That is where the story has to end.
But it's not my turn to add, so what do I care
As for new characters, of you like them so much, why'd you get rid of George? He was a fantastic character! He was a frickin' log fer cryin' out loud. So awesome...
Unless you mean for new-adder characters. New adders couldn't hurt. Draggy pops in now and again, but mostly, it has been the seemingly staple Gobbo and I plus you, Rook.
Draggy's got a lot o' familiars, and none that other current denizens have. I think it is high-time he actually added a character... that hopefully will not suck.

I would totally do that, Zedd. In 'Snaff's song of eastern cultures, he did press hard on Japan. I didn't want to give the final say in where they went since I did choose the first one. Japanese seems to be one of the more familiar ones, although I'm sure everyone will still bumble with it like the Celts "You look good for someone who was hit by a car."

Yeah, I meant new adders. George was cool, yes, but wasn't much for the story. He also lacks the ability to do much. I mean, the group will be goin' everywhere. They can't take every talking log they see with them. They didn't take Charon or Gwnn ap Knudd. I think that the permanent characters should be the new adders. I'd much prefer new adders over little side characters. But:
Wait for the opporitune moment!
Waltzing out of the woods isn't a good one. Trust me, I've made my share of mistakes to know. Maybe someone can be met at a bar (like Camo, for instance). Maybe in some village, or they could be a hunter, or a guardian of some sacred place (that's you, monk boy). Just make sure it's fitting, and not suuden. It should be fluid, it shouldn't be:
"Hi! We're saving the world! Wanna help?"
