Not targetting someone would require not using the technique, and not using the new technique sorta eliminates the entire usageness of combine.

I mean, you would be spending an RP action to do absolutely nothing; not exactly FtRPG's way. That's why Class Changing doesn't take up an action for a post -- no one would (or should) waste their time doing it otherwise. I certainly does not add anything to the post.

Why wouldn't you want to use the technique, anyway? I mean, do you have a problem with attacking someone?

It should be noted, for you morons out there, which are plentiful nowadays, that you would not have to target someone to use your Combined tech on if the component tokens have no targets themselves, such as Combining elements.

About my unwillingness to attack with combine, well...I wanted to combine FireSlice in this topic because I had the ability, but I didn't feel like offending/attacking all the nice people here.

Fortunately, WriteMan.exe posted that very nice post of his, which gave me a nice chance (and excuse) to fire-slice him.

Umm...could you point out exactly what a counterattack bonus is? I don't recall reading anything about that in the FAQ.

The counterattack bonus was described in one of the various FAQ topics. Essentially, what it is is that you are able to return fire to someone who has just attacked you faster than you would normally be allowed. Or something like that. Basically so that if two people in a thread have a showdown, then they can lob s*** at each other faster than everyone else.

I think that's gonna be my next endeavor. Though I'm gonna add Bless/Curse into it too, mainly cause I have them already, and nothing else.

Which class(es) learns shadow? And is there one that learns shadow and blast?

  * uses the technique LandSmite on boyachi for saying that he is adding something useful when in actuality he is just perpetuating stupidity by needlessly using a tech *

You do not need to learn them both at the same time; you can just learn one, class change, and then learn the other. It really is not that difficult.

However, only about 90% of anything magical sounding will learn those two tokens. In fact, anything that has the slightest ring of evil in its name will also more likely than not learn those two tokens.

Thanks. I wanted to have them both for a combination. Plus having both would save token-time.

Yeah, because its so obvious that you're concerned about token time when you repeatively use techs pointlessly even tho' its been stated an endless number of times that doing such only hurts you.

Curse = shadow damage heals and light healing damages
Bless = light damage heals and shadow healing damages

It was also explained in the very first FtRPG FAQ, but Emmy forgot to put them in the official FAQ.

To demostrate what they both do, * uses the technique CurseBless *

Oh crap. It didn't automatically name it "Forsaken" or anything.

Dude, that is what he wants it to be called, not what it will be called automatically. We did this all the way be with my banshee(wind shadow) which was supposed to be called something else, but I didn't know at the time, but banshee was supposed to have spirit element as well. sooo yea, if you want to find the actual name it was supposed to have...I'm to lazy to.* uses the technique Heal from the landsmite *

Thanks. They weren't in the FAQ, so quite naturally I didn't understand.

So I still don't know, after I'm done learning everything that I'm planning to learn as a Fighter, is it better to become a Pugilist or Miles? I'm kinda not sure which one will lead to becoming a Paladin.

Anything is better than being a Fighter, Rogue, Priest, or Mage. They learn less tokens than any other class -- except for Adventurers which learn even less tokens than those four.

So yeah, become something else. Unless I am mistaken, each of those four classes has a class it can change into which is nothing more than the exact same thing plus more tokens to boot.

Yeah, as has been said repeated times in these forums, auto-renaming does not exist. I am wondering if it ever shall on account of the fact that it would cause so many problems for idiots, who seem to be the bulk of FtRPG users Slanted Mouth

I'm not changing classes yet because I want to add the Power token to FireSlice and BombSwipe to turn them into FieryCutter and BombaraSnatch.

Apparently, this is what one of the original purposes of this topic was about. It has long since been forgotten by the normal ones among us.

Moreover, I think the answer to his question is quite obvious: IT HASN'T BEEN IMPLEMENTED YET, YFFI!

I was thinking along the lines of a Reckless Token. Doubled/ increased attack power/ effect, but hits randomly, even the user. Let's face it. You can't have chiriru Mai without her turning around and lodging her teeth in your... yeah.

Inertia refers to swinging at the opponent repeatedly. It's a pummeling sort of thing, so I need Dance to get accurate. You'd have to watch me fight to understand it fully.
