I think Tupper spieled about what techs he wanted on the horizon, and ever since that post oh-so-long ago, I've been itchin' to make this post. Problem was, I knew it would be a long while before I made any more updates to FtRPG what with NDR and all.
But, here I am just one scant week away from returnin' to the Massachusetts, and just a-like last time, work on't will resume! Most BD stuff will be done by next week, anyhoo.
So my question is: what techs are you gunnin' for? I am going to be implementing cross-account boni for token-learning, which will not really help the process terribly much, but what accounts have built up thus far will be a huge increase. So far, I am thinking of converting every battle and every win into one day of learn time; Camo would rack up clear over four months with that crazy get-up!
EarthernArmor StoneSaver: Earth Guard Summon Ward
EarthernAura AmethystAura: Cure Earth Heal Light
LandSmite Don't get no better than this....
Mallet SpearToss: Haste Power Range Strike Wield
SmokeSwipe SmokeBomb: Bottle Blast Haste Steal Weak Fire Wind Dark
StoneSaver will be a great thing to summon that will more or less give me some saves from anything that comes my way. The Spear Toss will come into some mad use once I make my way to the Blacksmith class.
And then I wanna make...
Frogformation: Transform Haste Focus Bless Animal Water
MintBreath: Bio Song Blast Wood Wind Light
MightyGungnir: Forge Strike Power Break Haste Range Wind Construct
IcicleSpear: Bottle Forge Blast Focus Range Water Wind Light
Fraxin: Forge Break Range Construct Wood
Frogformation does not really have much use other than to get Bless on me. It is more RP-centric than functional. MintBreath is quite the opposite; double Blast damage from every action? Booyah! It does not hurt that because of its Light-type, if I target myself with AmethystAura after Frogforming, I would get two (because of the Song) focused Blast-healings
Then a full complement of spears to use with my tosses. Fraxin is just made to be something that will give me a fast recharge time.
Then, after I go down the Necromancer's path...
NegaRod: Forge Heal Restore Cure Curse Shadow Spirit Earth
BlackPhysic: Wield Heal Restore Blast Focus Shadow
GargoyleAxe: Transform Forge Strike Power Break Dispel Ward Curse Spirit Earth Shadow Water
BrassGolemGiant: Summon Wield Range Strike Blast Earth Dark Fire Construct
A wielding-healer -- don't see that too often. Beauty part is that the NegaRod, when used to heal myself, gets the Curse on to allow the subsequent BlackPhysic to rack up some serious healing points.
And yes, you guessed right. GargoyleAxe would transform me into a weapon (Transform/Strike). It is also supposed to be wielded by the BrassGolemGiant... That's a strange image to think of.
So whaddabout you guys?

I'll speak for everyone on this: Holy CRAP! That be a lots o' techs!
Oh yeah, well, I too have some techs in mind... but only about 10% of your total. I mean, dang!
AcridBlazer GobboRay : Range Haste Focus Disrupt Fire Earth Water Blast
VenomSting BlackThorn : Poison Curse Dispel Dull Weak Break Disrupt Guard Ward Wood Shadow Trap
SuperSonicSnatcher LunaticRaid : Haste Earth Water Wind Shadow Light Steal Strike
SabreDance RumbloRampage : Wield Power Break Strike Dance
Well, that covers the ones I have now, but the future holds bright possibilities!
PeanutButterMonster: Cure Guard Ward Power Focus Wood Earth Summon
ManiacLaugh: Disrupt Range Light Shadow Wind Spirit Blast Song Bio
HookBlade: Poison Dispel Power Break Construct Forge
WretchedForm: Poison Curse Earth Shadow Spirit Transform
AllThingsEnd: Range Wield Shield Dance Summon Song Transform Bio Forge Bottle
... yeah, they prolly all suck. I just string together what sounds like it would be cool, mainly. The only one with any real thought behind it is AllThingsEnd, and that's just a precursor skill with about every non-effecting skill strung together (trap? pssh! screw that!).

Well, considering I haven't yet finished the road of the Adventurer (but I am very soon), here are some things I'm considering:
Quick question: I'm learning fire and it won't let me learn wind. Why?

Well, Ive fallen far behind, but that doesn't mean I can't a dream!
Aerolance-> CycloneDriver: Wind Strike Blast Power Focus
GaleJammer: Wind Guard Ward Haste Range
Sandstorm: Dispel Slow Break Weak Dull Disrupt Poison
HealingWind(hehe): Heal Restore Cure Song Dance Bio Wind
Some of the combos discussed are too confusing, so I went with simple schtuff.

Lookin' good so far 'cept for HealingWind. Bio-Dance-Song? Constantly getting Bios that on the next time you act will trigger, like, five healings that go a second time as well, thus resulting in a whole butt-load of healing It looked confusing, it will take a while, but that would be pretty dag sweet.
Also... I did not even know Fighter's could learn Wind. I thought they could only get Fire and Earth. * checks ** uses the technique LandSmite on Rook which probably should give him an idea what the answer is *
.... they can't! "Dr. Hara, you need some tea."

I think I mentioned these a while back, and I've got a few.
(One small question here... If I gave GunDown Song and Dance as well, would they override EndlessAmmo's Songs and Dances? Or would I be able to GunDown with my Endless Ammo twice continually while at the same time making my ammo continually?)
Yea, I'm sure everyone noticed an abundance of excess. *shrugs* I'm american.

Rook, as soon as you class changed, you lost the ability to learn Wind and Blast. The Adventurer's tech list differs greatly from the Fighter's, most notably in Wind, Water, Blast, Heal, and Steal.
When you class change to a class that can again learn those types of tokens, you'll be good... but that will be a while since the Warrior's Path doesn't really have much Blasters in it.
Okay, Ice, I am inserting Bio into your EndlessAmmo technique (as Spawn is incapable of losing a token ) and here is what you would get... I'm already guessing bad:
EndlessAmmo (with the forgotten Bio): Every turn (Dance), you will mutate something (Bio) that upon the next action performed will create an item (Forge) that StrikeBlasts and Dispels at a Range twice after wielded (Song) of the Fire/Light/Construct elements.
Because of Dance's functionality, every turn of the dance would not invoke a new the Bio to create an item, but rather they would all go at once at the end.
GunDown w/ SongDance: Every turn (Dance), you will StrikeBlast at a plus eight bonus (PowerFocusBreakDisrupt) quickly (Haste) of the Fire/Light/Construct element utilizing a weapon (Wield).
So, Dance cannot cancel as Dance has such a high priority that a Forge itself cannot Dance (barring Transforming into a Forge with Dance, perhaps ). With a Dance/Forge, you just constantly Forge, not create a weapon that Dances.
I do not see why the Songs would cancel out. Since Dance is like Song is that it utilizes fake-duplication, your damage portion would go twice, including whatever damage portion came out of the wield, but since the wield is also sung, you get the wieled effect four times
Your problem is that you have all of your damaging techs as StrikeBlasts. What are you, simple? Y'know, people, StrikeBlasts are not some omnipotent attacking force. Their combined effort only raises the attack strength by two points and makes it supceptible to all Guard, Ward, Weak, and Dull, giving it the maximum decrease of minus eight instead of the normal minus four, making it very possible to do no damage at all.
Now, normally, yes, StrikeBlasts are very good... except for the fact that they are so freakin' slow, but against a planning foe, such as someone with defenses.... they suck. Which is why I keep a good mix o' damage types. Thataway, you can ensure max-damage on whatever comes yer way. * uses the technique LandSmite on Rook to reap what little elemental bonus it offers *
EDIT Also, for a guy who won't even adopt a BD monster that is not Ice-typed, you sure do have a lot of Fire techs

Stop that, Rook! You know you can't do anything cool! * uses the technique Strike on Rook as a lesson * Ahem, now, then: Woo! ... Boobies!
But, Camo, you must make that tech. If you don't, KK should hack it into your account. I mean, ... c'mon!

Boy, I'm glad to know I'm not the only person who gets slightly confused by all this tech-creating. Actually, if I just spent some time to really read up on what all the techs do, I could probably figure it out. I'm just too lazy.
Anyway, the only technique I really want is a squirrel summon (for reasons I no longer remember). I suppose it would need to contain summon, animal, maybe wood since squirrels are sort of woodland creatures, and some other squirrelly seeming techs to make the summon more interesting. The thing I'm really wondering about though, is how you people are getting all of these customized techs. It's been taking me forever to get everything from the "Mage" class (which means I have a ways to go before getting summon) and re-learning combine all the time seems like it would take even longer.

Batt, you ain't learning everything in the Mage's Token list, is ya? Because you don't have it. Only the ones that are listed as Prerequisite (which you are forced to learn), and the ones you want to have after that point (unless you're still dealing with the Blank bug, in which case I understand). I mean, dude, I pray you aren't systematically going all the way thru the list. That'd be pretty bad.
And, one of the reasons some of us have a bit more techs customized is because we are a bit more active at the forums... I guess.

No, of... course I'm not learning everything...
OK, so I did. I wanted all of the elemental things and didn't know if I could get them anywhere else. Also I had to re-learn Blast (as I used it in a combo). Anyhoo, I'm ready for a class change so any suggestions as to what I should go to in order to get my SquirrelSum?
