* hastily uses the technique EarthernArmor to protect himself from the onslaught *
No, that is not the problem at all. The real problem is that the randomness of the dot function relies entirely on the sorting algorithm of Perl's keys function for associative arrays. However it flops 'em out is how you see them and how the dot function selects its target (minus the user, of course).
I was supposed to add an actual randomization bit to it, but then you always run that 0.00000000000000001% chance that it will keep randomly selecting the user for a damaging attack, and it needs to keep looping again and again.... wait, why don't I just remove the user from the keys list?
.... awwwwww

How do you check things like inventory and damage and how do you actually get a new token?
I am very confused.
How do you use Fabricate?
The help file only made me more confused
Now I'll watch as every one says "oh great a nother noobish question from Blade"

Um, try opening the RP console. If you have items or damage on you, they will be there.
You get tokens by selecting them from the list in the RP Console. You wait, and you learn.
You use fabricate by actually typing out the fabricate command just like any other command (asterisk, colon, fab, something freaky to make, ending asterisk).

I have no tokens in my list. no tech commands. nothing in local or global inventory. what does all this mean?
Have I missed something?

Oh, great! Another n00bish question from Blade... sign
No, seriously, you shouldn't have anything in there.
You see, you prolly haven't selected any tokens to get in the "- Get Token" combo box, and therefore have not learned any techs. Without learning techs, you'll be missing any and all techs and tokens from the respective catagories. And, you don't have any inventory, local or global, sing you probbly never obtained any.
... so, let's keep it that way

Oh, really? I seem to forget that a lot o' people were not around when FtRPG first started. I thought you were in that beginning slew, but I guess I was wrong. * with correct colon-ness, gives Blade a virtual AdventurerToken to start his RP career *
Now, I command you to get strike and bop Gobbo a good one for messing up all of his RP commands! Calling Blade a newb... feh! You cannot even remember that you are only supposed to use one colon, and that is not the first time you have done that, either.

Hey, that RP messerin' isn't from stupidity! It's from having something at the start of the command at first but then ridding of it and accidently leaving one to many of the three colons left. See? Completely different from stupidity... *cough*

Run like the wind? All the times I've heard that expression I've never understood it. The wind can't run. And if it refers to the way wind moves, one would have to run in circles, change directions occasionally and speed up and slow down often...
Is it just me, or did Blade eat his sword twice?

Yes and no, the sword was only truly eaten once, if at all, the other was prolly some fake attempt at it.
So, oh yeah.
*eats Blade's flamesword*
What is this dot function you people speak of? what would happen if I did this "*.*"?
Let's find out...oh yeah...92 damage, how bout that, can't do jack.

* wonders how much of Blade's questions are answered in the FAQs, earlier in this topic, or the other basic topics regarding FtRPG *
Once you have a skill slated to be learned next (ie: it appears in the combo box next to "-Get Token" marked "-Currently Gaining" but still listed above "-and After That"), you can use it, barring it being a change or combine token.

You can use any token you own or are currently learning (not those tokens that you are going to be learning, but rather the one topping your list).
Here is an easy way to tell if you can use a token: open your RP console, click on a technique name (in this case, Strike), and press the button "Add RP Command" right next to the box. It will then add to the message body the format of the command to be used.
Just seeing strike there means that you can use it. If you for some reason cannot, you will be informed and prevented when the post starts to be made.

More item craziness!!! I think you just fabricated death!! Adding spaces turned Hand Dagger into a description. I'm not sure if you can use underscores, though... * In an insane plot, Lunar_Mage uses the technique Steal on LeeTupper's death *

If anyone is watching any other forums here, I stole an item from someone after they had thrown it at someone else, thus, an interception.
SO the question here is: is the throw now nullified, or can the other person volley it or catch it, how many of that item are currently out there???
