Does anyone have the TM Flamethrower in their R/B/Y gym? I've been playing for a long time without a good fire move. I know my BD familiar sucks!!! I have limited internet access so I'm constantly losing battles.

Beg pardon?
Um.... FlameThrower is not a TM in Red/Blue. In fact, in no game is it a TM. The closest it gets is the Move Tutor in GCS.

Yeah, the Move Tutor is supposed to be one of those Gym Extra things a leader can buy for his gym.
'Course, the tutors do not just teach the standard elemental triad in the REL. I also use them to teach the wierd and wacky things like Amnesia Psyduck and Surfing Pikachu. That is a nice and lazy way to do 'em
But, like many other things for the RE League, plans for it are scheduled no time in the soon future. The REL just is not a big enough draw; although I do refuse to abandon it. Also, with all the work I am forced to be doing for college (with finals and what-not) I do not have time to get into any updating projects like that (they always turn out badly).

oh, yeah. I guess I knew that. I was thinking Fire Punch but that's GSC only anyways.
Move tutor would be nice though... I know my BD familiar sucks!!! I have limited internet access so I'm constantly losing battles.

fire/ice/thunder punch were in the original pokemon too, I know this cause Blue and Yellow are the only ones I played, and I remember having those 3 attacks This is Frenzal Rhomb Link, cause they are the besterest band ever.
This is Space Ghost Link, cause hosts the best show ever, staring Zorak.

Yeah, Electabuzz learns T-Punch at level 42, Magmar learns FirePunch at level 43 and Jynx learns IcePunch at level 31. Hitmonchan learns all three by level 43. It isn't a TM though. I know my BD familiar sucks!!! I have limited internet access so I'm constantly losing battles.

You sure? I'm pretty sure it was a TM... I think Pikachu could learn thunderpunch - or maybe he just learnt it at a certain level! Frenzal Rhomb - The greatest band ever THE SHINY THINGS - My bloody website! Blug and gurt the only comic worth reading

No, those Elemental Punches were not TMs in the first PKMN series and were only learned by 'Buzz, Jynx, 'Gmar, and 'Chan.
You might remember other pokes using them by two possibilies:
1) Pika mights have learneded it in Yellow, I don't know for sure, I never played it.
2) People commonly traded monsters from GSC back to RBY in order for them to use the Elemental Punches in a sneaky and wrong process known as "Trading Back" which plagued and destroyed PBS.
Oh, Public Brodcasting, how we miss you... Lair of Mad Goblin - Why be sane?Home to the on-line comic Not Quite Heroes, Lost Soul, and lunacy.

nope

wrong??
I persononally prefer playing under 'trading back' rules.
Hmmm...it sounds as if someone can't develop new strategies or adapt old ones very well.

How about wanting to play classic style instead of wanting to change over the inability to change, YFFI?
Some people just plained enjoyed the classics. I had no problem with RBY influences -- it just sucked how people used them without discussing beforehand. I hated it so much to bring out my Onix against something like Electabuzz only to have it freakin' Ice Punch the poor thing.
If I am not taking advantage of the awesome moves and over Amnesia GS had to offer, I hardly see it fit for the opponent to, especially when GS-influences were not supposed to be used without prior discussion. That is why I made it a rule on my PBS -- take those violators right out!

You have a PBS? What's the address? I can never find those anymore. I know my BD familiar sucks!!! I have limited internet access so I'm constantly losing battles.

Oh, right. I do not think I have the Reality's End address (http://www.realitysend.com/pbs) pointing to it anymore.
The good people at Marble Palace are hosting it now. It is my rendition, so you know it sucks the least. You can find it at http://www.marblepalace.net/pbs.html or so methinks.
I could be http://www.marblepalace.net/pbs, but the first one seems more correct.

I'm not digging this up entirely on my own, Gobbo linked to it in another post...
Anyhow, I feel compelled to state that Hitmonchan learns the Fire, Ice, and Thunder punches at 33, 38, and 43, respectively.
How can you think of punching and NOT think of Hitmonchan?! C'mon!

This trading back thing makes me think of how advance Ruby and Saphire are compared to the originals, I mean you can get so many more moves on so many more pokemon nowadays, back then I remember the game involved a lot of switching pokemon, now you can't really play that way, well you can, but yeah, you gotta expect the worst when you play ruby saphire.

I swear, I carefuly read every post...
Perhaps it has edited to make it seem like I missed it!
Wait, it'd be shown if it was edited...
Unless that was somehow edited away!
Ow, that hurt!
Er, I haven't really used FtRPG and I can't seem to heal, so...

Edit: Gah, Batallion said it first... I'm too tired to be posting... Oh well, gobbo already got hit, so I'm gonna go hide now!

Aye, I did say it first. And my name, while bearing a striking resemblance to the military term battalion, actually has nothing to do with it (note the absence of an i). Actually, it doesn't mean anything that I am aware of, at least that was the intent.
I did have a point to this post other than rambling about my name. I can't buy a King's Rock. I select it, but it doesn't register as purchased. It's probably something simple, but I thought Minty should know.
