I'm just starting REL and I'm at the Maelstrom Sea and I can't run from the wild battles for some reason. Can someone tell me how? I read something about a go button in this other topic, but I don't see one...I thought it meant the button in the middle, but that's still Explore and it doesn't do anything when I click it...I choose Run in both of the drop-down menus and it doesn't do anything. I finally let them knock my pokemon out, but I still couldn't do anything. Help.

I thought there was a lvl 3 place where we could start out...that could just be me with my imagination...

I have a question too...(it might be dumb...but I can't go anywhere): I can't find the button we're supposed to push after that battle with the Old Man. I can't go anywhere after the battle, cuz my comp won't try to help me figure out what I'm suppposed to do.
I've already read the instructions, but I just can't figure out how to get back to the bar, without losing any information I gained (new pokemon; battle stats etc...).

Okay, this is interesting. Okies, Adam, I don't know what speed your connection is, but it sounds like a 56k dial-up to me. Your best bet would be to wait after selecting the Run option, it can take a while to load the page. Have patience with it.

I'm not entirely sure what you mean about the Old Man...If you can give a better description of the problem, someone should be able to help yas.

last I checked, there are two trainers in maelstrom city that you can raise your pokemon on until they can survive on the beach easily
I belive they are Fyr and Yse, from the city gates, go 1 north, all the way west, back one east, and then north for Fyr, and south for Yse

Yeah, I knew about them, too, but after I beat them I never got the Return from whence you came screen and so after beating them I was just stuck looking at the battle screen. Everythings is okay now, though.

Okay, too much talking for my long absence.
Here is all I can say:

You select run twice. Once from the first drop-down box, and then confirm it with the second. On newer computers, it takes a while to load, but only a few seconds. It should not matter much on connection speed but rather processing power.
The same thing goes to winning. The return from whence you came link will only appear once you get to the next screen. It appears at the bottom of the page. "Go!" buttons only appear on this post-battle page. It also only appears when you catch a Pokemon, learn a new attack, or evolve. Leveling up does not produce one.

Yeah, I think that was everything.
