I was kinda thinkin' "Wouldn't it be cool to have a survival-type puzzle that scores on monsters killed?" It's just an idea. Please don't shoot it down too quick...

Shot down'd!
Okay, I do not know if you have noticed or anything, but the number of spirits that can come into the field at any given time is random. The number of turns, however, remains a constant way of measuring performance.
Also, how many spirits are destroyed really does not show anything. I mean, that is more luck-of-the-draw than anything else. Long-term performance is shown by how many turns you can survive. Remember, it only takes one spirit to end it all, and sometimes, not getting a lot of spirits is worse than getting a lot.
So, no, not a very good idea. Everything in END will always be ranked in a number of turns, no matter what.

Okay. I saw this coming in a way, but you've got a point.
