I was looking for Power Level in the FAQ, but all it mentioned was being involved with special features (like alignment and type change) and Big Shots, but is there anything else? For instance, does your PwLvl affect how strong you can make your trick shots? Almost anything else you can say about the Power Levels would be good to know.

Nope, it does not. That might be why that is not mentioned as doing such in the FAQ.

A lot is not touched on because my lazy bum hasn't implemented it. And it would if more interest was shown in END... which it isn't because I never work on it Wavey Mouth Paradox'd!

Anyway, Power Level is really just an indication of how well you have done on Survival Mode -- any Survival. They are really all equally difficult.
Only your current best is kept; beating survival with multiple low scores will not make it go up. Some people get confused about that...

Now, how it functions is like this: Every time a dreamer creates a Baku Jar in order to steal a Big Shot from another Dreamer or to capture a Totem for their Dreamer Soul, that Dreamer's energy level is reduced by one. While there is no limit to how many Totems may be placed inside of your Soul, you may only have as many Big Shots as your Power Level.
Since your Power goes down to even get the Big Shot, you really start hurting after going on a splurge for Big Shots. If you steal a new Shot when you are at or beyond your limit of Shots, you will have to forget the Big Shots in excess before learning the other Big Shot. You can always relearn forgotten Big Shots.

Then, you can only use Big Shots once per puzzle, so your Power Level is also the number of Big Shots you can use during a puzzle.

Hope that clarified everything... other than what the blutty 'el a Big Shot, Totem, or Dreamer Soul is. My recommendation is don't ask.
