I noticed that sometimes when I use the break right/left properties with my trick shots, sometimes my shots hit, then break, then hit again, then reappear for the third time while breaking in another direction. Is this supposed to happen with the break properties?

Oh, snap! I knew there was something I was supposed to disable on those. This was not a problem before since Breaks used to only occur in both directions at once, thus requiring one flag instead of two. Good thing you reported this before setting any more records than on Sanguine's.

Uh-huh... Was that why my high score got reset? Because I didn't use that problem to help set my record.

Hmm, I noticed the double branching too, but my High Scores didn't really benefit since I was still getting used to the movements of the shots. These shots definitely could help my scores though, at least in the regular puzzles.
So when/how are the dream catchers going to factor in. I think you mentioned them in a post once, but I don't remember what you said about them.

I've always thought of the puzzles towards the bottom, without advancing spirits, represented them being held within the 'catcher. Of course, I'm weird, but certainly no more than most around these parts.

Yeah, i think that grid is the net or dreamcatcher that they are in.
My question is, does that power level thing have to do with the max power level you use to make your custom shots? What determines a raise in the power level, do you have to play more games, or get on the score board or get to a certain turn, what it it?

You are correct peoples, and you are also incorrect... err....

Yes, the Dream Catcher is just the battle field of the game -- nothing more. That is why the spirits just sorta sit there instead of trying to kill you much.

Power Levels only come from Survival mode; one for every fifty/forty depending on whether you are a Purger or Reaper, respectively. Power Levels also only come into use for attaining Big Shots, which are really the next thing to come in.

I did not know whether or not your new high score was dependent on the extra breaks, but if it was not, I am sure you would have no problem getting it again. It just really seemed like a jump up two ranks seemed to be utilizing a flaw in some way.

so is it every time you reach 50? Or 50->100->150etc.?

Obviously, in the higher increments. Getting fifty each time would be rather simple, would it not? It would also mean that you could have infinite power levels.

How about an infinite mode with use of use of trick shots? Such would cause infinite mode to live up to it's name better. Slanted Mouth

Er, has this been discussed already? I hope not...

It's just that it's really annoying to have the bars totally full and no use for them...

So, uh, could you make something of the sort before I snap and just go grab the code and make one of my own(personal use only, it wouldn't lead this hard drive.)

Um... you never get an infinite mode with Trick Shots. Infinite modes are infinite because you can never run out of energy; if you could use Trick Shots without an energy cost, things would be way to easy! (although I am sure someone will rig-up a thing like that when the Dream Builder is released).

If you are referring to a survival mode with Trick Shots enabled, yeah, that is coming soon. In fact, I would have released it along with the release of TSs, but I sorta realized that a stupid person (i.e. the majority of people that play my games) would quickly blow all their trick shots and run out of energy, thus not even being able to muster out a normal Dream Shot.

So, I need to rig-up a quick low-power shot of sorts (I am thinking to be based on alignment right now). Might get it out this weekend; I have to make sure both alignments are fair, as whatever I implement into END has to stay forever since it does effect permanent high-scores.

By stupid, you don't mean me, right? I mean, since my school outlawed games in Study Hall I don't get a whole lot of time to actually play your games anymore. I just roam the forums.
Seriously tho, I look forward to the Dream Builder. Not a whole lot of games out there let you build your own levels like that. And your plan to make an original puzzle game seems to have succeeded. Whenever I DO play, everyone asks me what the heck it is. Think you can come up with a downloadable version so I can play at home?

I had a Q-BASIC version that is almost the same thing that I used to bang out the originality of the game. Well, I think it is a little different in that blank spaces can also have types, and opposite colors push while like explode -- a system that made very little sense and was rid of in the final implementation of the game.

I s'pose I could rig up a downloadable version when I get back home and get my hands on C++ again, although it would only be able to muster the normal Infinity Survival modes.

Man, they outlawed games? That would sorta make sense if they did not also let you roam forums and stuff. I mean, restricting to only educational purposes is understandable, but restricting ways to loaf around on-line seems a bit strange to me. Hmm, I wonder if there is a way to hide END as an educational experience? When the DreamBuilder is out, you could try the "I'm debugging a program of mine" excuse. That might work.... right?

Maybe... We just got a new principal who thinks he's still at a big school. He's a real douchbag and is coming up with all these rules to restrict basically anything we want to do for fun. Actually, the use of forums is pending, too. My study hall teacher has it in for me. I once got kicked off a site before I could even find out what it was, just because she felt like being a b****. I've been trying to convince them that this site has educational purposes. Like learning about web programming and stuff, which is sorta true, I guess. But I should be able to stick around for the two weeks of school I have left.

I stand corrected. I am currently posting this "illegally" as I have been told to never enter this site in school again. That is, if my study hall teacher can be trusted. As far as I'm concerned, until they block it, I'll still use it when she's not around, but I may only get in here about once a week...
As for my idea, I wanted a version of END that could be played offline, since I don't have a home internet account. But theres no hurry for that.
