Woohoo! 4th place! At least better than being dead last, I guess...

Hey, wasn't there somebody who got up to 99 turns? I thought that person would be at least up there on the high scores.

Hey Mintman, once I got game over it asked me for my Username and Password, then sent me to the "Hall of Fame". It's sure not working for me either =(. I finally got a score of 60+ Turns . Draggy, he might not be on it because he wasn't signed up for it.

Yay, new record of 72 turns!

It is just me, or does it seem like the difficulty level of the survival mode was toned down, or is it just because I got better through experience and the tutorial?

You are just getting better. The difficulty does not increase until some of the more interesting spirits get thrown into the mix (seperate high scores lists, of course), like Thin, Thick, Heavy, Clock, Immune, Bomb, and Ghost Spirits. Boy-howdy, do they make a mess of things! And you have not even sampled Trick Shots yet let alone Big Shots.... ah, Big Shots... and Class Changing.... and all that other stuff.... of death.

Wait, asked for your user name and pass afterward? You should not have even been playing without logging in first! You did something wacky, Sharks. That, or your browser is cracked. Log-in should occur with the script on the puzzle page, not the actual high score page itself.
And the guy with 99 didn't get on because his browser did not have proper security settings. I have reduced security for the moment until I can get around it. Some guy got an 85 in the high scores! I gotta keep on my toes....

It does ask me to put it in at the beggining. I log in it, but It asks me again, and again without stopping. Then It asks again when I'm Game Over then sends me to a page that says, You are not Unauthorized to veiw that page. I also tried logging in then it showed the same page. It says I don't have permission to veiw that file. Okay I found the problem for the problem. 1) It had an email address so I kept trying to use it. 2) It asked for my name because I made the high score board. It wasn't my browser either. I'm using Internet Explorer.

What is the point of the boxes next to the shot changers?

Yay! 77, a new record for me! High scores still aren't showing up for me, though.

In afterthought, maybe the boxes represent the number of spirits of each type destroyed. Am I right?
I know my BD familiar sucks!!! I have limited internet access so I'm constantly losing battles.

Steelix will crush you like a bug!!!

Those boxes are your power. Out of Inifity Survival Mode (which you have all been playing), shots actually cost something to use. Moreover, specials shots cost quite a bit more, and you can use them! More on that in the Help, tho'....

High scores not showing up? They shouldn't be. I have not made the file to display High Scores yet. I really should get on it now that there are enough entries to fill it up.

Shark: I know what the problem is. If it keeps prompting you again and again, then you have the wrong name/password. You get three strikes and you are out. You are still able to play the puzzle, however, because the imported script is just not loading and not enough to kick you out entirely. I should really do something about that....

EDIT: Um, wait. Have you used the log-in to change your password? Hmmm, I has the solution if that is the case -- I never updated the .htpasswd file to accomadate new user passwords! Me so stupid

So, are you going to let us see how we are doing in the High Scores. Like as a link. Cause, I just signed up today, and I got 64 on survive on second try. But the Basic Training helped alot. But I still don't know how to use the trick shots.

I had that same thing happen this afternoon! I think it might be something with cookies, cause that computer has them disabled...

END is 100% cookie-free. I was going to use them originally, but freakin' P3P was just invented and buggered everything up.

The big problem, in my opinion, is that I do not actually tell people when they are not logged in. I think the biggest thing is people not getting logged in correctly and not knowing so.

One-hundred ten? Dag, yo. I am going to have to start playing again to beat that score.

Hmm, this probly looks like it could be one of the most promising franchises on the realitys end site, for one reason because it is completely original and has an iteractive feature from that if you play your cards right. The puzzle format gives many options to you as the creator and builder, but also the original storyline can help us users (mostly verteran ones who show their face in the forums often) a chance to impact it. Now if it was not only a puzzle but also an interactive story in which characters like me, Camo, sailor etc could leave our mark in, well then i wouldnt miss a day on this site. Hell just the visual aspect of the dreamers spurred some artwork in me i havent tried in a long time. Anyway my ramblings point to one thing...can the forums members take a big part in it, not just like another failed post by goblin, but be part of the game...and dont single out too much of any aspect of this post, its like i said ramblings

110 turns? How many tries did you take to get there? Must've been a lot, but I MIGHT beat it (probably 2% chance plus enormous luck).

EDIT: WHOA! 103 turns! Must be my lucky time for my first time playing for today!

hurry up and respond minty, i already have pictures for my avatar in the works (im more interested in that than a bd project) but i need to know more about what this whole storyline will be, what style of dimension this is, stuff that can be details to my picture. Pretty soon it'll be ready for sending but i need info first. Its just gonna be on my info i know, but who knows if its good enough for a pic

Huh? Oh, right. Sorry, Now Stoppable Dreamer

Well, you people already know what all of my Dreamers look like (save Destroy, but you will not see him for a while): Gale, Aurora, Vulpine, Sanguine, Cyan, Burst, and Avenge The Dreamer. The way I always describe them is that they should not really look like much of anything. Mine have at least vague humanoid characteristics; that is where they come from, after all. Fine detail I have always found to be a big no-no. The most detailed of the dreamers I have is the stock image "Fallen Dreamer" (quoted so since my stock avatars do not actually have dreamer titles; just informal ones I can reference them by, like Dragoon, Candystripe, Four, Zero, Maritime, Artil, Arch, Whale, Hop, Squat, Sting, Fey, and Radical Dreamer) who has chains for hair. They serve as the basic characters in the storyline who will interact in the animations and serve to further the storyline where normal folk dare not tread.
As members, you can do, well, pretty much anything. Well, anything "physically" possible in this world. What is this world? Involves a lot of description. So much, in fact, that there are supposed to be six months of notes comprising a prologue to the game, and an ever increasing daily journal (game days, not real ones) cataloging the events. I am really stressing over this, however, because I want its finalizations to worded just right.

Here is the skinny tho': one day, the sun the never rises. The only light in the sky is a very big, low-hanging moon. Spirits fly down from it and steal people's will and sanity, sending into coma-like states from which they continue to feed. Those who are neglected by the spirits are instead fully conscious in this perpetually dark hell, and hunted down by the spirits to put them back to sleep. Since spirits, they cannot be touched by anything physical, say, a human or a very heavy object.
When they sleep, however, these individuals take on the form of an Avatar in the city enveloped by darkness. Now on the same playing field as the spirits, they go about to either Purge them or Harvest them.

When the Dream Builder option becomes available, people will be able to create their own puzzles. These will be held on the owner's site, allowing much more customization than the REL but being much more complicated. With even a bit of JScript know-how, you can do some crazy stuff. The manual will describe how to manage the bulk of it.

If I can just think of a practical way for two player dreamers to challenge one another, I am set. I cannot, however. Well, I can, but no bandwidth friendly options. I guess any challenges one dreamer makes against another will have to be very unofficial for now.

So to recap, more interactive than Gobbo's post (if players allow it to be, that is), and any picture is good enough. This isn't BD -- you can draw a flaming pile of doo if you'd like. So long as you are the "GiantPileOfFlamingDoo" Dreamer, 'sall right with me.

Bleah! Everybody except me on the high scores is some sort of a dreamer. I don't like being the outsider, yet I also don't want to give a stupid name to myself. How pitiful...

I just uploaded a rough drawing of the Inferno Dreamer. It's about the only thing I can draw good. Don't judge me on the quality, it's just a rough version. Let me know what you think.
Be quiet, Brain, or I'll stab you with a Q-tip!

Hmm, I put in the link to the picture and it showed up. But when I go back to view it again, it shows a broken link. What's up???
  Anyway the picture's at http://battalon127.greatnow.com/Inferno.jpg

Greatnow has a hot-link blocker, just like how Angelfire displays a logo when you try to link to their images off-site. Difference is that theirs just leads to brokenness. Looks good, tho'. Well within Dreamer guidelines.

Vinny, I should say that yours looks freakin' sweet! Only thing about it is the pattern in the background. Did you draw it on freaky paper or is that Moire pattern? Either way, still looks good.

What doesn't look good is Dragnorok's avatar. It is not even an image! It is simply a link to an HTML page with a skeleton playing the piano from Corbis. That only makes us three people who actually have avatars. Gobbo has one, too, but he has not uploaded it yet.
