That is just creepy and wrong.      *notes that Evenfall is now his favorite person at R.E. and raises her creature considerably.... if she returns the favour *      I thinkee that we're gonna get into a bout of wrongness here, saying things to outdo the previous until something so wrong is said that it would have no compare!      Okay, the second BD battle system operates independent of the current. It involves shiny, randomly generated two-dimensional battle field grid with terrains on it that creatures must move around. Skills can be implemented in this version, and there are a variety of sub-commands that aren't spells but any creature can use (Run, Patient Attack, Crouch, etc.). Also, creatures have inherit sub-skills that they gain for no real apparent reason (Nidhogg's Shadow magic cannot effect undead creatures, but his physical spells are very effective; Hfrimfaxi's Light skill counts as moonlight; Monoceros can attack through opennings with its horn smaller than its physical size; the Basilisk may inflict instant death by poisoning creatures twice). Doesn't that just make you tingly all over... Evenfall

Are we trying to conquer and regain ground or are there specific quests and such? Also, will this be interactive? Lastly, is the movement system like in the RE walkaround (one click = one space forward) or will our characters have ease of movement like in most video game rpgs?      Very tingly, Minty, but not as tingy as you make me. *smiles*      Where can you see the silky red pajamas, MadGoblin? You don't even have to tell us to turn -- the image is burned in my mind! *cycles through mental photo gallery* Ah, that's the stuff.      Uh, back to the BD: don't compare it to the walkaround or anything else. It's combo-box-tastic, tho', with (I think) ten commands chosen at a time (if so wished) which will be executed in initiative order (based on speed). Each command can come with a stipulation, tho' (if enemy in sight, if enemy out of sight, if next to enemy, etc.). Spaces go one at a time (unless you Run or Leap or something freaky), but if your speed is high, you'll move more single spaces than your enemy, thus effectively more spaces plain. Um, yeah.

Hehe.       Quite frankly, this secondary BD system sounds interesting, but I'm wondering how you'd do Flight for Nidhogg and Tatzelwurm.      Also, you spelled curiosity wrong, Evenfall, made it sound like CuriOWsity. I think I'll stick by my Frenzal and various other punk rock .   Speaking of the silly lads, they havn't done any local gigs for over a year now (cept BDO which is a festoval type thing, and I not into festivals, and tix where 85 bux :S) Hopefully they will hurry up and return for another night of crazy antics!
