  Fish?

From what I know Bahamut is a huge Dragon that is used as a summon in pretty much all of the Final Fantasy games. I'm sure that he has mythological background to him too, and Mintman will probably go through all of that.

...And leviathan is a serpent dragon from Final Fantasy...
Man, I forget it's name... I drew it from Ultima weapon in FF8 - that GF that defies all laws of RPG's by doing OVER 9999 damage in 1 hit.

*Starts to summon that GF anyway - then summons a cabbit which forces KK to his knees as he falls the the mega-kawaii creature*

Note: I could never really understand the tenchi series, seemed very odd

Yes, but then there's the thing that we all understand about the Tenchii series. You know what I mean! :D (well, in the non-English version only. for some reason gratuadous nudity isn't 'decent' for 'public television'. feh.)

Anyhoo, Bahamut is the giant fish that IS the universe. Its so massive, that NO one can phathom its emense size and find even more difficulty in imagining the ocean of vastness it swims in. The giant bull Kjata (also from FF) rides on its back and on his back (everything in hindu [i think that's what it is] mythology is just stacked one on top of the other :/) is a mountain with the seven heavens and seven hells... Hmm, I think I'm getting myself lost... oh well.

  *summons shiva!*
*... not to attack, just because! :D*
  *... drools*

I don't watch Tenchi. I just know about the Cabbit 'cuz it so cute! Awww...
Tenchi seems like a stupid anime anyway. I mean, if it doesn't have magic or robots, what's the point? boobs Wait, I just remembered what the other point was. Yes yes, and Tenchi's got a lot o' dat!

Er, um, *cough*, anyway, Bahamut has in fact been in every Final Fantasy, so if you are ever asked which character has been in every FF, don't say Cid as most do (he actually has only been in the recent ones). It's Bahamut: King of the Monsters even tho' that whole dragon thing was made up by Square.
And Leviathan is the Biblical creature that God created at the beginning of the world. Well, actually, he made two, but they were so powerful he had to kill one himself at that instant. He made it up to the remaining female one by playing with it at the last hour of every day. When Armageddon comes, Saint Michael the Archangel is supposed to slay it and all those with the Mark of God on their right hand and forehead are supposed to live inside a tent made of Levi's skin and eat its flesh for the Millenium...
... accursed symbolism. Don't know what the bloody 'el was meant by any of that.

And that Bahamut description was slightly off. Here is how it goes.

There are Seven Heavens, Six Hells, and Earth (get it?) held up by an angel who stands on a giant ruby that is supported by Kjata the many-eyed bull's head. Now, this bulls stands atop a layer of sand on the giant fish-hippo Bahamut's back. Bahamut is so huge that none can imagine is size yet in the four-hundred ninety-sixth tale of Arabian Nights Isa (ie Jesus) was the only one allowed to see it in all of its magnitude. Then, beneath Bahamut was the fiery serpent Falak which bore all the fires of Hell.
And now you know the rest of the story.

  *walks away*
*summons Siren 'cuz it hotter than Shiva*
  *gets an idea*
  *casts a second summoning spell....*

*another reason to summon is cause there is only one of each, so not enough for me*
*realizes how stupid this post is*
Yeah, Bahmut has been in every one. But I don't remeber him every changing his form from FF to FF. I think they kept their Dragon looking Bahumut. And has anyone played FF10? I mean, is it really good, or semi-good? (I doubt that it is semi-good since there really hasn't been a terrible FF)

KK: You said soemthing about being made by God and all that crap - which religion is that one from? (Doesn't sound very Christian, in Christian story bo- sorry *bible* they make numerous references about Dragons being evil beings (they call Satan one, they slay a few), so I don't see why their God would make a couple

(Personally I think the Christians were just having a go at the Chinese/Japanese by making one of their icon animals a portrayl of evil)

Well, what I just stated was a big ol' mixture of Judeo-Christian and the thing that Islam came from.
Second, the Chinese didn't have evil dragons. Dragons were their gods. You are thinking of the Japanese. Some of their dragons (and only some) were evil.

Dragons being a representation of Satan was a Christian symbolic notion that came mostly from the bestiarys of Medieval Europe and a good ol' Scandinavian influence. It was sorta one of their things to spread The Word. They would relate religion with everything, even animals. Like the Leo-Pard being symbolic of the Messiah since it woke from its slumber to spew a sweet breath that drove away dragons.
Now, only some dragons were representations of Satan. Dragons were given some redeeming qualities, quite in contrast to the northern equivilent, the all-dreaded Vurm (or Worm). It was nothing but hateful, spiteful, all-smiting wrath on a stick. It lived for something more than to kill. That is the evil dragon you're thinking of.
And God didn't make Dragons. He made Leviathan. It is not a dragon. A dragon must meet very specific criteria...

And Bahamut has changed with every Final Fantasy. Even from the short span of 7-9 significant differences could be seen. In 10, it has these wicked angelic wings that make you wanna drool!

Well, in FF7 there was 3 different incantations of him...
Plain ole' Bahumut, Neo Bahumut, and Bahumut Zero (the latter doing a guaranteed 9999 damage, pretty pathetic seeing at that point in the game, cloud could dose out 4000-6000, 4 times with x4 cut). The FF10 incarnation sounds a bit weird if you ask me, "Angelic wings" - but then it differs in what your mean by angelic wings - if you havn't seen already, try looking up "Diablo 2 Tyreal" on the search Engine or something - they had a very cool twist on "Angelic wings" (Sort of glowing energy streams that could be used in a similar sense as tenticals, as well as flight properties)

Anyway KK I didn't say that the Chinese/Japanese had only evil dragons, you mis-interpreted what I said, I said the Christians were having a go by making the Chinese/Japanese iconic creatures seem evil.

Man, I'm not sure what Mint is talking about (or Ash10, that sounded freaky and revolting if taken in the context i took it [which i hope wasn't its]), but this is what Bahamut looks like:Big Pimpin'. I wouldn't call 'em angelic, but they sure are sweet!

And, speaking of sweet, of course, Shiva!

Hmm, they made them too ornate - Bahumut looks terrible (from the piccy), not that he's the best looking dragon anyway, but all those gold bits and bobs looks pretty crappy.

Also I think Shiva looked better with more simple outfit/youthful appearance from FF8 (Actually in FF8 she wasn't wearing practicly anything to my memory)

I think we all want the Shiva in our minds to be a little less clothed.
Anywho, Bahamut looks like that now because FFX is taking an old-orient approach to this game. One of the summoning spells is a Ronin with a freaky dog that you actually have to pay to summon! Yes yes, it is very different in deed.

And as for that Orient thing, the Christians knew next to nothin' about the Chinese/Japanese. That isn't the reason they made dragons evil. Everywhere had dragons. The European one just happened to be the evilest of all. In fact, the Christians actually increased the amount of good in a dragon from what the original tales were. So, if the East had any influence at all, it would only be a good one.

I am not an anime fan, infact I pretty much hate all cartoons bar a few (Spiderman, Spiderman, Does whatever a Spider can... YEAH! :P ) but the other day my friend made me watch an anime, and it was totaly sweet, its name was Akira and I gotta say if you like your cartoons go and see it, as it is the best anime ever.

  KK Notes:
Akira was made by this manga-master from back-in-the-day hailed as one of the greats. He has a movie coming out soon to America called Metropolis. If you see the movie, watch it.

Hey, did you get Spiderman: Unlimited over is Aussie country? It was cool, but it only had a limited run in the States...

Animes can be good. They have just the say chance as any other cartoon about being good or bad, it is just Japan churns out much more and at a much narrower audience (cartoons that children watch are often the same as adults even though they have content that would be thought inappropriate over here).

I dunno, with cartoons,I like the marvel cartoons, I totally hate most cartoons with a passion, mainly cause my brother watches them 24/7 (I normally watch a channel called [v] )
Wow, right now he is watching nikalodian ;P. Adult content? You mean how that guys bitch gets her shirt ripped off by those gangsters in Akira? Well I wouldn't call that adult entertainment, cause she was as hot as a naked dog, which I see quite often.
Oh, and just for somthing to say, I have been told that When Aussies say cartoons, it sounds like cardoons, I dunno, I'm just an Aussie.

I never said anything about "adult entertainment." I simply said that children what the same cartoons as adults. They can be very violent and have graphic content, but nothing over what a standard R-rated movie would have in it here in The States.
They do have strictly adult anime and manga called hentai (slang for "perverse"). It is best to avoid that stuff since 99.9% is messed up beyond your wildest nightmares.
And I really mean that, too. Once some guy told me about something called "slasher hentai." Trust me -- you do not want to know more than that.

And 'course that chick in Akira was ugly. Last I recall, Akira has some bad to sub-par animation. I recommend Cutey Honey: the greatest anime ever! Or Slayers. It's all good...

Also Akira wasn't a story about "A bloke and his chick" - and unlike American films they didn't HAVE to have a mandatory sex scene, instead they got on with the storytelling rather than making the girl's look mega-girly (like most animé's, not that I'm complaining when they do that)

Am I the only one here with FFX??!! Well, I guess I have to rub it in all of your faces then!!!! If not ignore that..... Anyway, I couldn't afford the samurai Aeon thingy cause I was poor then........ But I was able to deafeat one of them with: Bahamut, Shiva, Ixion( a lightning horse), and a few of my regular chars. The thing with FF's has always been that they put you against guys with tremendous HP, and something else good, and bad stuff too. This guy had regular Defense and attack, awesomely high HP and a 9999 special attack against Ixion. It's regular attack and other attacks were weak but... Bahamut was easy to get in this game, ith was Valefor, Ifrit, Ixion, Shiva, Bahamut, and then you could get the samurai...and it has the sphere grid. Don't ask me what it is just find out yorself. (I guess I've put it upon myself to fill you guys in on FFX, so thank me later) any way what I've been trying to say is....I like Bahamut's new look better.

For you to be so far already it appears that the game is quite small, and tell me, I know it has a turn based stratagy battling style, but is it a GOOD one? or could the game be called GF battler?
