Daz-nabbit! I can't believe I missed an Ides of March. I've been so busy from my father bustin' my hump on these freakin' scholarships... bah!
I usually do something cool for that date... last year I released Killin', I do believe. And what did I do this year? I kept that same entry pic up most likely from the R.E. League anniversary! Or did I finally get rid of that? I can't even remember! So much work to do for my site and I'm stuck trying to scrounge up chump-change.
Lousy scholarships... academics mean nothing anymore. Sure, you could r0xx0r-pwn at college using your giant, pulsating brain, but if you're not "well-rounded" you apparently aren't worth the effort! Bah!

Uh-oh! Looks like somebody is grouchy and needs their nap.
While on the subject of entry pics (i think you said that... right?), isn't it still at the hamerburger one? I mean, that's been up since late Dec/eary Jan, hasn't it? Seems like the longest any have stayed around recently =\

*sputters*
Looks like someone didn't get much outta their history.
Ides of March: in the Roman dating system, the Ides were the middle of a month (they had other things like the Calends [first day] and Nons [varied, but in earlier part]). Typically, the Ides were on the thirteenth, but on four select longer months ("June, October, March and May / The Nons are on the Seventh day" I think that little saying went) the Ides were on the fifteenth.
Now, Caesar was going crazy with old age and epilepsy back in his reign, and he was just about to become Imperitor (or "the one who holds the power") officially (he was only Dictator for Life before, and never a King; Romans hated Kings). However, signs began to amount up. His wife dreamed of his statue bursting apart and it had begun to rain heavily (never a good thing). An auger came to him on the streets and told him to "Beware the Ides of March", the day the Senate would declare him Imperitor. Sure, everyone told him not to go because of all the bad mojo juices flooding around, but Caesar said that he'd rather die once than live forever in fear.
How right he was. Stabby stabby!
And that's the story of the Ides of March.

By his own friends, no less(at least one, that's where the term 'et tu brutus' comes from).
But I thought it was an oracle he went to see that told him that?

An Augerer is an Oracle... except I think they may lean toward a certain way of fortune telling. They might be the entrail people.
At either rate, you messed up the quote. It's "Et tu, Brute." In Latin, the vocative case (our English noun of address) for masculine works (nouns that end in "-us") turns it into an "e".
And don't use H1 tags! That makes freaky stuff...

i woulda thought this post would be after ides of march was over....i guess that banner kept it alive.
i wonder if mintman saw what that banner said.....i've seen him get mad about things alot less degrading than that...such as a meaninless post for example.
maybe i shouldn't have brought that up...but a nice argument would keep this post alive maybe 3 posts longer :P i bet this post was a stupid one....well maybe...

One thing that should be noted is that that banner up there isn't an image. That's why my CSS has set for H1. You know, the thing that's at the top of all of my pages? Well, granted there is an image in the background, but that isn't really an image tag.

Explain? Awww, doesn't it already explain the Ides in this post? I have not read it in, well, a year and all, but I think that is how it went down.
Huh, you didn't originally make this post, Vinny? I thought you did. I guess I just forgot since Anaconda ain't around no more.
Ah, this Ides, however, I have got something planned up! What it is cannot be discerned, so don't ask! All I can guarantee about it is that it will be a bigger flop than all Arena Terraes.... combined!
