Mohini Bhardwaj -- yay! Vault specialist not even attempting a second vault to qualify -- boo!
Oana Ban -- yay! Injury after teams to prevent her from doing a friggin' other thing -- boo!
Anna Pavlova -- hot, um, I mean, yay! Getting bumped to unshiny fourth in just about every blutty event -- boo!
And what was up with the friggin' scoring? You couldn't watch two male gymnasts without seeing a score higher than nine-seven, but the chicks had to work to muster up a nine-four! That does not even begin to consider the radical inconsistancies in judgements...
Then, you have Svetlana. It was prolly a toss-up to who shoulda got the all-around gold for the womens, but the way I logic it out, Carly should not have got it, the reason only being that she is still young and has at least one other chance to get it. Svetlana has been gunnin' for that thing forever, man. She won't be able to get it now... unless she returns when she's, like, twenty-eight, which knowing her....
Boo at any rate.
The final, biggest boo perhaps comes from the fruity coverage that NBC is doing of this Olympiad's games. I mean, they have Rhythmnic spread across virtually every one of their networks at the worst times possible -- only one of which is the normal NBC station! I shan't be able to watch but once, and it will probably be just one American's ribbon knowing how they usually splice things.
Boo to NBC's scheduling, and boo to all you people with cable! I hate you all!

Yeah, the Olympics are kinda wierd this year...And, I can never figure out when something is on, cause they have it on 7 or 8 channels, so you got to know where to go and when, or you miss it. That sucks. Major.

Seriously! I mean who's banana do you have to peel to get a 4.8!!?
On a non-joke note, I haven't caught much of the Olympic coverage, minus some late night events like balance beam. Man, if those chicks weren't four feet tall or 14, they'd be like hot...or not....
Doesn't the law taunt you with Olympic forbidden fruit?

Weren't? Forbidden? String Thing? Oh, wait. Regardless, 'tis my bread and butter! (by which I mean the String Thing, of course )
* uses the technique Dance with much joy for he is one of those hated people with cable *
Woo! Time to enjoy me some rhythmic gynmastics at midnight and again at seven in the morning! I have no idea when I'll be sleeping!
EDIT:
Oh, wait, that's right, life has to despise me!!! When did they come on? Two times, both on Bravo, which I get. But, what's this? Oh, no, I don't get Bravo! I get Bravo A. It's exactly the same thing as regular Bravo, showing all the same programs exactly, but it completely forgos the Olympic programming. Damn you, A programing!

This is rapidly becoming one of the best topics ever. Sadly, my job + collage - cable = little to no time to watch the olympics. Oh well. *treasures memories of woman's whitewater rafting, swimming, volleyball, and long jumping*

Watching the long jump? You mean the five freakin' minutes of coverage they gave it just because Jones was in it, and still way undercovered? Freakin' NBC!
I liked how they did the javelin. Two people will throw and then we'll cut to something else! Dopty-dopty-doo!
Oh well, I gots in what little Rhythmnic was shown. w00t to Rhythmnic! It was hilarious how the stadium was packed for it and not Artistic due to the varying popularities between here and Europe. I, quite frankily, enjoy Rhythmnic more than Artistic, but they never freakin' show it! What can you do.... other than move to Europe. Hmmm...
* uses the technique Transform into a winged, moss-covered log * Wait, what was I supposed to be doing again?
At least closing is on today. That promises to be good (since they will actually cover it and not show one percent of it). The Marathon was good, too, save for that big crazy that pushed Lima into the crowd. The Hel was with that junk, yo?

Well, thanks to the greatness that is Canadian TV, I found out about that.
The deal: It was a crazy denounced Irish ex-priest who tackled him because judgement day was approaching. That's a reason if I ever heard one... Crackpot!
Apparently, tho', this guy has done it before. Whadda kook!

Heh...well, I was in Canada during a lot of the Olympics, so, along with watching it on stupid NBC, I also got to watch it on CBC and TSN! Yay!...Um, did I anger anyone?
* uses the technique Guard in case anyone is angered *
....In men's gymnastics, why was Nemov robbed of the gold? I mean, he acted like a real athlete by calming the angry Russian fans, but still...what was up with the scoring?
To summarize this topic: down with NBC.
LieutenantEagle
It was not just Russian fans; it was every fan. His routine rocked, yo.
However, all of its release-tastic glory was mostly crowd-pleasing stuff. For some strange reason, the other, simpler moves can wrack one up a higher score. I think it has something to do with all the li'l nuances that go into making a release scored as high as it possibly can, and when you have, like, what, five releases that are all slightly below a judge's definition of perfect, it hurts you quite a bit.
... unfortunately.
