I am with the foreigners on this one; Americans stupid. Not all of them, but in general. And I mean wide-scope general. You are looking at the country that says first-person shooter video games force kids to shoot-up their schools and has a 50% voter turnout. That might also explain why so much of our government is inept -- but still not as much as you outsiders think. You only get to see the most outspoken and usually idiotic of our politicians. We have some good people, too. Not nearly enough, but they exist.
Finally, I think I have built up enough strength to respond to that FFX2 rant. Sanis, your argument is inconclusive. Now, from what I have heard, X-2 is either the worst FF ever or one of the best. I do not know why you are against the real time system; sure, X was not, but other FFs have been. Whaddayathink the ABT meant? From what I also hear, it is supposed to be loaded with fan-service, and so far as I am concerned:
Rikku + Many "Outfits" = Second, XI is gonna suck hard, and not just because it is only a MMORPG. I mean, it is a Final Fantasy on-line. They have all sorts of mythos and creatures to use from across their expansive run, but instead, they make up a lot of ugly races for PCs, and their Ronsos do not even look like Ronsos -- they are powerful weak, dude! Little stragly beards and pathetic horns -- feh! Not even blue from what I have seen.
And I know not where these good things you have heard about it come from. I have heard only bad things so far. From what I know, summoning was added to try and alleviate its suckage.
Don't know for sure; will never know for sure. I am not an on-line gamer since I detest being forced to play with on-line imbeciles that cannot be blocked or banned, especially since they make up a good part of the internet's population and an overwhelming chunk of the gaming commune.

Well, I'll agree with MintMan and the foreigners as well (seeing that I am quadrilingual, that sorta makes sense). By the way, when are the aggressive negotiations with the six countries starting, I haven't been watching the news lately?
Anyhows, from all I've read in Nintendo Power, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles and Final Fantasy Tactics Advance are the best. (Yay, at last someone decided to mix video games with soccer yellow and red cards, wait a - ).
However, MintMan, I think you might be a little wrong in your generalization of U.S. gamers playing shooting games in the sense you described. Heck, the only games that I've played where you actually "shoot" someone (Legend of Zelda doesn't count, because bow & arrow shooting is not very common in these dark days) is GoldenEye, Turok 2, and StarCraft. (and in my humble opinion, any sane person would simply say bah humbug to all three of 'em).
Here's my argument for why GCN+GBA beats out X-Box eternally.
#1. Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker. Such a game would simply be impossible for the X-Box because of the GCN-GBA connectivity features
#2. Mario! Yes, people, msanis particularly, "the day" is going to be when Microsoft knocks at Nintendo's door and pleads, "Can we use the Mario things, whine whine?"
#3. GCN plays JUST GAMES! Anyone who has ever been stuck with someone using their console to play Meg Ryan movies, I pity thee.
#4. If anyone ever says that Nintendo is for "kiddie games", you can take a kung fu class and then re-define Matrix in more than a mathematical set of numbers in brackets.
#5. The PlayStation and X-Box areas of the E3 were, um, empty within several minutes. Everyone was flocking around the GBA area trying to get their shot at the new GBA RPGs, particularly Fire Emblem.

As for good Gba games, i've been looking over some..and one in particular has caught my attention. it's name is Gun de Sol (literally meaning gun of sun). It has very good graphics for the Gba, and has an EXTREMELY VERY INTERESTING feature. You see, the gamepack comes along with a sensor that detects sunlight (and no light other than sunlight will work). The game has basically undead monsters roaming about such as vampires, so you should get the idea of what you do with your "sun gun". However, when the sensor detects sunlight, not only does it clearly become brighter in the game, but also; you may use this sunlight to charge your "sun gun". I've yet to have seen another game that actually changes due to YOUR enviroment. Even if you don't like shooting games, you must admit, it is pretty interesting.
Gc is great, only people who like sports games get Xbox. Ps2 is ok in my opinion, but I think a large source of it's income is the FF series
As for online games minty, well... you are right, MMORPGs that do not have a figure of authority (one that can ban, etc.) are HORRIBLE. But... I doubt that there would be noone watching over people. I've also seen another Final Fantasy online game which has graphics that seem almost like Wind Wakers...
I'd say all Final Fantasy games, except for FF10-2 look pretty good to me at the moment, of course... the games are not actually OUT yet, it's just from what information i've been given so far. The insignia of the Apocalypse engraved upon his blade. the day approaches...

Okay, I don't know what color your heart is. The Russian flag also has the colors red, white, and blue on it. So does the French flag, and the Netherlands flag. Oh, yeah, the British flag also has it. And don't try removing the red - that makes you a patriot of Greece, where, as you know, the fools once thought our arteries were filled with air. (!)
In any situation, Final Fantasy now spans the PS2 and the GCN. X-Box, as always, is left out, because it was too busy focusing on the "whoa" part of The Matrix. PlayStation likes to focus on the "Welcome to the real world" part of The Matrix, and GameCube doesn't give a hoot to anything but the "stop trying to hit me and hit me" part of it.
Also, the GCN defeats the other systems in exclusivity. The Nintendo GameCube has 15 exclusive titles for release this year. For the other systems, you can count the number of exclusive titles for release this year on your fingers. Hey, usage of the toes is not permittable in this argument.

(Spawn is cooler than link, and if you want him like that, buy melee)
X-box looks cooler+won't fall to the ground if you pull the controller(like I witnessed at an anime store, it was pretty funny. The guy took the controller from the kid that was playing and simply said "you can't play anymore")
Fable, which will be SO frikkin cool!!!

As for the GC, if someone tried to take mine, I'd be beating them with their own limbs instead of my precious system. *hugs GC*

Aside from unclean gags, wasn't there a game where you could do just that? I think there was an advertisement for something like that in spawn, but the only thing that I think comes close to that is WarGods. Anyone know?
Speaking of which, I think that GC and Xbox are like light and dark. you got mario party and all sorts of other kid ok party games(SSBrosMelee!), while halo is one of the shining lights for the mircosoft console. I will laugh the day that something like DOA or BMXXX is played more on the GC than XBox (excluding the supposed sequel to conker's bad fur day)Soon, the time will come. The Summer of the Dawn.
