Before reading anything in this topic, you must read this first.

That's right, screw alls ya! Behold the first ever OOC topic. Why? 'Cuz it's Rumbl-o-Rama, that's why!

Quite the oddity, really. It's a sequel, but not really. I mean, there's two different "priors" for it to be based on, so its really based on neither. None of the characters really are the same, even tho' the are, but they aren't. About the only thing that really ties them together is the whole Legendairy Quest. Go crazy and have fun with it.

I'll make a promise if you dudes do, 'specially with summer coming up and a lot of you not having any excuses:

We do this VB style (for the one person that expression actually means something to) -- a post every day, sometimes multiple. Not every major writer, but at least one person should add every day. Of course, with current BnW rules, that could require three or four major writers Boggle Hey, something else to shoot for.

I was thinkin' about going back and adding another end to RoR Classic, but why? Gobbo already made the ultimate-ultimate end on accident instead of the Gobbo-wins version, so it was sorta screwed.

RoR:SR had the big problem of two strange final posts by Gobbo, although the last was a lot less hard to follow than the first (It was mostly a time issue).

The angle that has me most interested/worried is newb writers. * brings forth a StoneSaver on Rumbl-o-Rama to keep it safe * Let us hope the only bad we get is the funny variety!

I'm definitely looking forward to another session of Rumble-o-Rama...ness (hopefully good). Although I won't make any promises since I have homework over summer and a two-week long stay at a university I plan to attend after high school, I'll see if I can't find time to add to it (again, hopefully it'll be a good job).   Well, I hafta say, I was expected a warmer welcome. Guess it's kinda good, so I can lay out a plea:

If anyone wants to add an integral character, best do it now while its starting off. Nothing is more confusing than when outside of the bar it starts in someone gets dragged into the storyline and quest, 'cuz then its just all, "... why?"

I really like how Ems didn't even touch base on Bogg's existance in the story yet. If it can be just solo-introductions for all the characters, that'd be a substantial set up fo' sho'.

  It is still going on!!!

I guess that much was 'spected, tho'. None of the Rumblos ever end in a timely manner. In fact, they don't even really end Boggle

Anyhoo, to draw more RoR-related attentions to, well, RoR, I would like to bring up the following point:

Bimblesnaff, lunatic, fiend, the mad one, goblin, greenskin, purple-clad rumbler, monster, maniac, insane enemy...

Rex Ranarum, the blue-clad vagrant, King of the Frogs, amphibian, blueskin, tadpole, minty one, frog, Toady Tyrant...

Kodiro, Fashion Mage, Summoner of Styles, Wizard of Wardrobe, multicolored magician...

D-Knight, giant, goliath, ancient, old man... green-armored guy...

Gariland, non-Goth, swordsman, hero, black-clad hero...

  Hadoleo, student, youth, nerd....

Whazzupwidat? It isn't that the newer characters are less interesting than the original or that they have had less time to gain descriptions; they just were not given a whole lotta substance in the beginning. Well, I guess Dee could have, but then Vin decided to make him completely different than from the prior Rumblos, so that kinda screwed with the development Slanted Mouth

I mean, these characters were probably- heck, they were given more physical description than in any other IAS in RE history (scary considering this isn't even a serious piece), yet there is still so much we don't even know to do with them. Until Hadoleo started being called a nerd recently, he was just stuck being a student!

And the best thing to ever happen to Gariland was becoming cool. Not only is he the best character according to the story, but I think even the readers consider him the best character now! His coolness is just so cool! I guess he deserves it after being RoR's whipping boy for the longest time.

So what's the point of all this? Guess there really isn't one...
I s'pose we should just take a hint from everyone's favorite Gariland and learn that change/development in a character is grood. * uses Focus on all authors and potential authors to come * Ah, who'm I kidding? The six we got is all we'll ever have...

  intrigue-ed
I may have to take a crack at this. Quick question though, by becoming consumed by a supposedly existant being, then taking over the body, or whatever it was exactly he did, did Kno Whun finally gain existance? If you think about it, multiplying 0 times anything still gives you 0, so he should never exist no matter what right? I know it doesn't matter in the least, but hey, it's interesting to think about.

Well, first and foremost, 'tis the whim of the author.

How it was suppose to be done, ie: whim of the author that set up that part, was the Plot Hole madness wound up making Kno Wuhn a real boy. However, subsequent authors chose to make this a situation little different from his initial one where he didn't exist, except that he would say that he didn't or something not know. So, basically, they made it more confusing Wavey Mouth

Yeah, thus the eating of Kno by Yugothor. I figgered that Yugo exists, so if he transformed into Kno Wuhn (with the slight change of vowelage), then he could no longer blink from existence. I mean, not unless Yugo vanishes, but that wouldn't make a lick of sense. And as we all know, Rumbl-O-Rama always has to make sense... Shifty Eyes

So I guess the only fading that could happen now is Yugo switching back and forth between his old self and his Knu self.

And Batt, your example makes no sense. Yugo wasn't multiplied by anything. He was added to. Technically, it would be "Y + 0 = Y," but since Kno actually does already exist, it would just be adding two existing things together.

Looking back, Gobbs never did say that Kno existed fo' sho' now, but he never told me that, either. I just kinda understood it from the fact that "the very fabric of continuity was altered" and Kno was suddenly existing again.

Hmm, well that sorta screws the first part of my post. Maybe I can still use it somehow differently. And nevermind my example, my mind is sorta fried right now. I figured it was a good time to write.

You also probably should have looked up that word I threw out: "dord." I mean, I know none of you actually knew what the Hel that meant. With good reason, too. The word doesn't exist.

I mean, it did exist. It is a phantom of the language. Any search engine will tell ya just what I mean. 'Tis funny, and funnier yet when used in a context for Knu.
I just kinda figured people would try to look up a word they didn't know and obviously couldn't figure out by the context, and if they could figure it out by the context, then there wouldn't be a problem anyway!

It is an especially useful word since it was the one thing I used to say "Yes, Knu does exist," making the intro of (what I am assuming) your post moot!

Huh, I didn't catch the word "dord", or maybe I just editted it in my head, assuming it to be a typo. Either way... interesting. I sort of changed a bit to make reference to Knu's existance, but never actually changed any events. Call it lazy. Call it my dad accidentally deleting everything I had written when I left the computer for a mere minute w/out saving.

In a sort of related question, would it be possible to make a way to view the overall rating of a post (either after voting or at least for the author)? I can't remember if I've asked this before, but I'd kinda like to know exactly what I ended up getting rated for my various posts (can't have been that good, judging from my average). The ACP only shows the average rating for everything which is not a whole lot of help once you've written more than one post.

Well, you could try using the ACP to view your book information for a particular story. Y'know, floppin' out everything you've ever written ever would be quite a load, so there is a stop in between for you to narrow down the search.

Ah, so that's why things went down the way they did. Luckily, you didn't do anything that would screw me up, although I know Gobbs is gonna be steamed when his internet connection finally starts to work again Big Smile Sucker!

The only thing I am a slight lost about is the character you "introduced," barely saying anything about him other than appearance. He's reptilian, and he's a sociopathic liar. That's all I got, and that's all I'm gonna use! * creates a ConfusionStick *

That's why it flew in on white! because it is a white lie elemental! Why didn't I notice before? Now...if only I could figure out how that makes it easier to post... *runs of searching for the Train of Thought*
  That's it! brilliant!

Oh hey FYI, I've saved everything up to the not black enough mage post on my computer and I just wanted to let you guys know that its 47 pages and about 22,517 words, thats about 479 words per page on average. As for posts definitely over 500 per, since we had 47 posts

I mean, one week is bad, but two? Dudes! The fact that the last post wasn't even made by a "regular" compounds yer follies! Shame!

Wow, forty-seven pages? No one tell any of yer teachers, 'cause then you'd have no excuse for not being able to fill up all of the pages of that report Shifty Eyes

Twenty-thousand words, eh? A good post of Gobb's or mine runs in the high one thousands... that's like, 7.5% from us each post!
Or, you could lookit this way: there are twenty-three posts in RoR:II, so that means that we average two of your precious Word pages each addition! Whooooooo!
