Well, I must say that I am both impressed and baffled by the new writing interface, although I do see several capabilities I'm almost envious of. I'm thinking of churning out some modern sci-fi style story with a lot of potential to twist and turn in all sorts of directions. The best way I can think of to state it? A more cerebral and stylized "Jumper".
Also, I was going over the BD writing archive reviews, and was really enjoying the reviews. Is there any way to post/find formalized reviews for other stories on here? I just enjoy the whole retrospective angle on the stories.

Whoa, here's a name I didn't expect to see returning anytime... ever, especially in a writing capacity. More than glad to have ya back, tho'.
Is the REWS really that baffling of an interface? Less posts per page than a forum, a smaller side bar, and built-in locking instead of members have to post "Lock", edit said post, and then hope no body else was writing at the same time without giving such a courtesy. Ah, those were the days... horrible, horrible days.
Splinters, spots, and proposals, however... probably confusing, but easily ignored as they are not necessary. * mutates a MoreWritingFeatures than necessary *
The only reviews that were ever done for stories here are the six BD reviews which were mostly done last summer as a part of a BD Writing Week. No one has ever even offered to write one of their own, although there would be no problem with such a thing being posted on a story's discussion board and possibly being upgraded in the future, depending on quality.
As for a modern sci-fi story (or any kind, for that matter), have at it. Can't say anyone has ever tried something like that before. Closest we've ever gotten was Aftermath several years ago or that super hero story.

Shockle! It's the Tupper-were! Nice to see an old face, lemme say first.
Wow, story reviews. There's a dealio/feature I don't think I ever heard as crossed Ems' mind for the long list of things to tack onto the already insane list of writing-related add-ons. I think, if you want to, you should totally spill some out. I know one of my big complaints about writing is no one ever tells me if I'm doing stuff wrong or right
Regardless of the subject/author of matter, reviews are always a good read.

Just reporting in to say I haven't vanished or given up on my idea, but rather that my internet provider went down in flames, and it'll be Tues/Wednesday before I have reliable internet again. I'll start the plot then, I think.
It's turning out to be more of a political intrigue than I initially suspected, with very sparse action if it follows my planned course in any way. Oh well. If the plot has a lot of twists, action isn't needed too much.
