There! I used The icon, Happy?!?

Ok, on subject... How do we use this shop thing, I don't even know where to find it, im guessing it's in the Beta test thing and not actually in our accounts..because that's where I looked.

And well... you said we use something like bartering? How would that work? A lump of dirt for a Lode Sword or something? Well, would you mean something like... Gold pieces? That would make a little more sense I guess, and what type of items would there be for sale in those shops?

Um, I was mad at people for using that icon, Sanis. People are over-using it, and you just made things worse.

At any rate, the shop is in the RPG, but it really sucks. You can only buy a spear and tacos from it. Yes, tacos. Five tacos for five gold pieces. You can feed them to the idol for apparently no good reason. I just need to test this stuff out.

Shops works on a list of arrays. There is the item for sale, an item it will be traded for, and the number of traded items required. Typically, the item traded for will be something like Gold Pieces, but it could also be Silver Pieces or Copper Pieces or Deblooms or Jewels for all I care. This allows for not only differences in currency across games but also in games. Your money in one kingdom could be worthless in another! Fantastic!

However, this also allows for a simple system of give, say, tacos and receive something in return.
The idol doesn't give you anything, tho'. It's just a greedy pig.

   Mmm...Tacos.

BTW, Kero, when I tried it, I picked up the Spear and Gold Piece in the plains, but when I got to the shop, I couldn't sell the spear or anything, so I couldn't buy anything. Just wonderin if the commands to sell, or trade, or swap, or whatever, are comin' soon...

Who ever said the shop wanted ya stinkin' damaged goods?

Remember that I am making this a real RPG. Not every shop will just fork over dough for used goods. You rarely get returns on your items in BD. You end up either dropping things or finding someone that will upgrade them or use them for other materials (I plan on having a smelter).

Sure, you may find a weapons shop that will take your old weapons, but why would a li'l stand in the middle of no where just buy anything you throw at them as in console RPGs? They wouldn't.
  And so they won't.

This is gonna be fun, isn't it

You probably weren't expecting me to say this, but yes, this will be. I don't like most of the console RPG's, cept FF.

Tacos, eh? Now I gotta check out the RPG. That's the kind of crazy stuff that seperates a "creative" RPG from.... er... I dunno, Summoner, I guess. (I was tryin' to think of a bad RPG to say, and that's the best I can come up with... I dunno, never actually played it, but it looked crappy, and I uh.... read about how bad it was once....)

You should make somebody that sells poisonous tacos, then you feed them to the idol, make him sick, steal his money, laugh at his misfortune, send him flowers while he's in the hospital etc. etc.

I'm beginning to look forward to this even more. Mintman's gonna go into so much detail, it's (partially) insane. Ah, well... I'm done rambling for now.

I cant handle rpgs with the same game system all the time, like I used to love them, but not really anymore, as it gets to easy and repetative, so as long as there are alternate ways to bash someone, its all good

I forgot to mention, Dragons have yellow eyes!
This is Frenzal Rhomb Link, cause they are the besterest band ever.

Actually(off topic), dragons don't all have yellow eyes. Least not as far as I'm concerned. In a fantasy story I've been thinking up lately, a dragon's eyes and scale colors can be used to denote what it's elemental powers will be in combat. And...uh...technically, I shouldn't be saying anything right now, since I was thinking about sending it to KeroMint after I'd actually finished some of the writing part...x.x

I just decided to say that so I could use the icon I am using again, and making sure that it was called for.

Well, technically, Nidhogg isn't a real dragon. It's a northern European wyrm, which people varyingly consider dragons. Most say them to be serpents. They are typically pure evil and poisonous things with serpentine bodies and lack the saving graces of the traditional dragon like clarvoyance. 'Course, by that description, Nidhogg would have no room for arms to carry corpses nor wings with which to fly.... the Norse were very inconsistent.
I say 'em dragons, tho'. Seems appropriate.

As for the tacos, they probably won't be in the real RPG. Who knows, tho'? I might sneak 'em in...

  Objection, your honor!

If they are serpents, then why are they Dragon class? They should be Serpent class!! Well....no, I'm just mad because even a LV8 Nidhogg can beat me LV13 Kamaitachi.

That goes to the old argument of Dragon v. Serpent, a battle as old as scholarly mythology itself.

It is difficult to find an in-between for what is a dragon and what is a serpent. The definition of a dragon is often over-extended to include such things as the Hydra, Cockatrice, and -- worst of all -- the Gryphon. C'mon, people.

So, I used the judgement of what a wyrm was to the Norse. Wyrms were their equivilent to the lower-European dragon, although with many differences. The Norse still had many monstrous serpents, but they also had serpentine creatures with limbs for some odd reason, thus making them, well, limbed-serpents and thus not true serpents. Wings and limbs on a Norse wyrm make them sound like dragons to me, no?
