Camo Posts: 1609 Member #5 Dec 19, 2002 7:02	We need the start new familiar thing to start at an earlier level, I've kinda lost interest in the whole BD thing due to no one being battlable bar 1 or 2 level lower creatures, and cause of this, (I think its Ash10 too lazy to check) have been constantly battling, which is kinda crap cause Ripper Nomercy is bettera by a level or 2.      Just givin that new beast thingy at lv 20 would be good. I wouldn't think it too cheesy, as only about 8 or so people would be onto there second creature. MintMan Posts: 4061 Member #1 Dec 20, 2002 23:58	Your argument does not make any sense. Level twenty is a level that carries no meaning. You are supposed to be able to adopt another creature when your currently raised one gains all of its abilities, which typically happens when it hits level twenty-five (which also happens to be half-way to the maximum level of a familiar).      However, it is true that at your level, there is quite literally no one to fight, and you have had Ripper for over two years in its current incarnation.      Thus I have sympathy on you and others like you. How about this deal: I'll jimmy-rig it so that you guys are allowed to adopt a second creature under the condition that, when it becomes possible, you get your current ones up'd to level twenty-five. Sound good?

MintMan Posts: 4061 Member #1 Jan 4, 2003 15:25	Well, it is a rather simple procedure. First, you wait for you battle to end. Sucks that you two didn't read this offer before, don't it?      After it is over (wouldn't it be funny if Camo got up to 25 after this battle? Har har), you will be able to log-in to your account and an option that wasn't there before will appear -- "Adopt New Familiar". Select that option and you will be taken to a page that looks like the account clearing page (but it ain't). There, you will be able to sign up for a new player character and creature just like you did at sign up, save this time your other creature will be forced into the background, able to pop-up again whenever you switch it out.      And that's that.

I accessed your account, clicked the link and ensured that you were allowed... or is it when you actually submit the form that it stops you.      Making these special requirements aren't always flawless, no?

I set all the stuff to adopt, click submit and I get this:      You cannot adopt that new creature. You either already have adopted a familiar of that species or you have failed to raise all of your current familiars to their fullest skills and spells.      And I have a Nidhogg, not a Baslick that I am trying to adopt. Well I'm gonna challenge Ash again, we can do the battle incase Mintman is sleeping for five days or something extremly normal like for him, then I might get level 25 anyways. Also, I challenge you first thing Ash. Egg to Egg Bounce against Bounce (Or whatever Bassys get) The winner recieves the championship boucy belt. Otherwise one could adopt infinitely (seems impossible now, but when the RPG actually has storylines, you'll see why I did it).   So the problems on the form page, eh? And here I thought I had fixed everything up real nice.      .... oh wait, I sees the problem. I thought this function stayed the same on each page when in fact their names are pretty much all that is constant      *ponders why he changed a variable name that played an identical role*      Well, it should work now.      *looks at previous battle log* Ouch, critical hit ShadowBlast. Devastate is one of the highest-percentiles of damage. Ya don't see much of those.

BTW, why again did you switch it from Nidafell's Dragon to Nidhogg? It is all very simple, you see. Once, there was a mythological creature I liked by the name of Nidhogg whose job it was to gnaw on the roots of the World Tree Yggdrasil and eat the most evil dead. I liked this most vicious Norse wyrm, but one day while reading my direct (*cough*) translation of the Elder Edda (more or less the Norse codex), I come upon this creature mentioned only at the end of the world whose name is not given. All it says is that it rises from the Nidafells (more accurately Nidavellir, the Shore of the Dead) on "wide, swift wings." Somewhere along the line, this creature was put into a game of mine The Seven Keep as the Elemental Beast of Dark. When thinking of a mascot for my site lo three-and-a-half years ago, I decided to use it as means to tie into the apocolypse theme.      Then I find out that the translation I had of the Elder Edda was utterly sucky. I find a better translation on-line that specifically calls the dragon in the last verse Nidhogg, whom I had never suspected because it had wings. Being a subterranean dragon, I had never thought Nidhogg would have wings, but apparently it did. Thus I made the switch to be more accurate since technically the name Nidafells' Dragon is more or less something of my own concoction (but it doesn't mean you still won't see it around here from time to time ).      A little more than you asked for, but what the hey?

Even so I wont debasilikasize till Ash 10 can too, otherwise our ultimate championship match will take a while to come around... or somthing like that. 'cept you're apparently in battle and thus have no chance to switch. Oh well. At least the option to adopt a new creature is still available to Ash.      This could have been avoided if you would have just visited this forum that month ago you started this post

Camo Posts: 1609 Member #5 Jan 10, 2003 20:49	Ahhh, all too confusing, maybe there was something else that needed changing to confirm new creature or somthing like that, as in when you choose what you want your new creature to be, and click ok, maybe it checks your current creature to check if its lv25 or not. At least I know what I'm talking about. Oh, and whats bettera? 50 magical attack or 40 Physicle attack with a hogg?      I'll just keep battling ASh! Camo naturally obtained twenty-five, so all the power to him.      Now nothing should be stopping you from adopting that Bassy, Camo, even a code glitch... unless some sort of code-glitch stops ya. Oy veh!
