I don't know whether or not this was a smart choice, but I challenged my sister from the school computer. I knew that it wouldn't work from home, so I did it there. It's probably a bit late to be asking, but now that the battle has started will I be able to change my AI from home with out screwing things up? I know that I could just change it from school since I'll be in the computer lab all week, but I could get majorly busted. I'm suprized that I haven't been already to tell you the truth. The really sad thing about all of this is that she'll probably win and I'll lose valor for having been the one doing the challenging.

You don't lose valor for loseing a battle. And, second, you should be able to change it from home without causing any damage. BTW, what's your sister's username, and what level is she? I need a challenge for my familiar, if I'm gonna Level up.

That would be DoomStar and Aurora. Level 8 Monoceros, aka the Nidhogg killer. *chuckles* Don't think you're quite ready to take her on yet.

Thanks you two! Evenfall is absolutly correct! Please cheer me on! I need all of the encoragement I can get. *nerves*

EDIT: ~*JOY*~ Happiness is mine! I finally beat a monoceros...even if it was a level lower, so what? Some of her stats are higher. WOOH! I think I was a little to happy, because my sister took back that she was happy for me. I guess I over did it a little, but I haven't had a battle since...I was toasted by pyrus, but that was a month ago in 8 days. 63 to level up and Artimis grows up! Everybody help by visiting my site and seeing my artwork that I think is crap, but everyone else likes!

   R O F L. That's a lot to say, SSS. Hope you took a breath!

Ya, it's been a while since I've been here. Cheet's never beaten me, bwahaha. I don't think his old familiar was called Pyrus, but I can't remember right now. *shrug* It's nice to see some familiar familiars, though(pardon the pun) such as Entropy. What a cute wittle L42! lol

Ouch. Member fifty-seven? That does not do right to an old-RE-er such as you, Unix. Glad so see you back... and glad to see the sign-up function works again. *shify eyes*

Word to the wise, Cheet -- you can lose valour in a challenge. It is supposed to be that if you challenge a person greater in level than you and lose, you gain no valour, but if you ever challenge a person below your level, win or loss, your valour goes down. That is how it should work, at least. It does, doesn't it? If not, then I have some code to go fix (or an FAQ file, one of the two).

Yeah, Sailor, I do not mind you fighting your sis. I only set up that IP block to prevent a person from challenging a dud account of themself. You've found one of the obvious loopholes, but I am not too worried about you guys using it.
Yeah, IP only comes into effect for challenging. Other than that, no matter where an operation began, you are able to go elsewhere to complete it.

*thinks about Cheet for a second* Hasn't it always been Pyrus? I don't remember it being anything else. Then again, I usually can't remember what I had for breakfast or what day of the week it is, but not today. It's a sweet, sweet, lazy Saturday. *chekcs magic calendar* Thursday? Sweet monkeys of Odin! *runs to class*

I think it's been Pyrus for a while, but before that it was Draconix. I changed it to Pyrus when Silver Ketchum copied it for his Nidhogg. And, before that, it might have been Draxe or Dracos. I can't remember past Draconix.

Also, I thought she meant her sister had challenged her, not the other way around. I remembered you can't lose valor for beating a lower level creature if they challenge you. But yah, you lose valor if it was you that challenged the lower level critter.

I don't care so much about valor any more. I still have 61, which is only one point lower. Once I get to the next form I'll earn it back, but until then I'm just happy to have had a battle. 55 exp. points to go! WOOH! I could challenge Akira, but she's probably had enough of me for a good long while.

Hey, Kero, do we get anything fun for referring people to RE? If so, can I change mine into an Update? Hehe...

In all seriousness, I referred one of the kids who comes to the library to R.E. So far he is on REL, and he signed up for BD. He tried to challenge me and said it didn't work. Any idea on why? All four computers work on the same connection, and I was wondering if it was that.

I have another odd occurance for you. I challenged Ice, and lost miserably. I don't mean to sound like a sore loser, but I don't think that it's possible that I could have lost so badly to some one of the same creature, level, and almost identical stats. I couldn't confuse it nor get in a single attack! What's up with that? I know that I'm not all that lucky, but this is ridiculous!

Battle Log for SailorSassyStar and familiar Artimis:

Artimis casts MoonStruck. Mista failed to be confused. Mista casts MoonStruck. Artimis became confused. Mista attacks. Artimis is wounded by the attack. Artimis casts MoonStruck. Mista failed to be confused. Artimis casts MoonStruck. Mista failed to be confused. Mista attacks. Artimis is moderately damaged by the attack. Mista attacks. Artimis is injured by the attack. Artimis improperly identifies the target. Artimis casts MoonStruck. Artimis is already confused. Mista attacks. Artimis is moderately injured by the attack. Artimis casts MoonStruck. Mista failed to be confused. Mista attacks. Artimis is hit by the attack. Artimis improperly identifies the target. Artimis casts DewShot. Artimis is moderately injured by the magic. Mista wins!

Umm... Triple S? You look like you were so wrapped up in casting Moonstruck (probably that new AI feature Mint set up) that Artimis never actually hit Mista until the very end. She's been slowly picking Artimis off throughout the battle.

I'd say bad luck happens sometimes. I've had two occurances during battles with FoxMcBlur where Horn missed twice in a row and I ended up losing. You amy want to check with the almighty MintMan for the final word though.

  Hmm... seems like I'm pretty useless around these forums except to dish out the obvious. *sighs* MintMan, would you prefer that I not dispense my fractured advice? ^^;

I know that I have bad luck, except for today, because I have no homework! WoOHOO! Umm...this topic needed a bit a cheeriness for the holidays. I had moonstruck set to 'until confussed' so that's that part, but after I saw that it wasn't having any affect I changed it. I would of and should of said something here before the battle ended, but I was really busy. I just don't see how out of all of those attacks none of them worked(except for the ones on me). I know that something has to have been wrong, so I'll just wait for MM. It is times like this that I think of reseting my account. I always fall victim to any errors that could possibly exist and even the ones that can't. Even if I do restart my account I'll still have trouble, so I'll stick with Atimis

the mention of IP addresses reminds me of something...

I've tried to challenge 'EvilKidBuu', yet it says I have the same IP address! The only thing I can think it might be is if we both use AOL in the same area...

Well, all four of these compies up here are running on a state server, I'm told, so I think that's all it is. I'm don't really remember much of anything about IP addresses...x.x

Yeah, AOL gives the same IP to their entire network. They suck in that fashion. So if someone is ever able "not to challenge", a reason is usually given, and it is typically IP. Battling Dragons sucks in that it cannot allow very local battles. It blocks out cheating, tho', so I do not have much a choice.

Okay, if you want to talk luck, I missed four times (three in a row) against Fallen in my battle against her. Since Fallen has very low Agility, that shouldn't have been. You know what? It is all chance. I've had things happen to me before that defy logic -- over 1/256^3 of a chance of happening and it did! Know why? Because it can.

Just because something has a low chance of occuring doesn't mean it never will. That is why it is luck. Also, Sx3, you must realize that you are a Hrimfaxi as was your enemy. Remember elemental effective being added to BD a while back? Your MoonStruck has a very low chance of effecting your enemy due to elements, not to mention Hrim's naturally high Virtue. Ice lucked out getting his first on you, but you really shouldn't expect it to hit. When NightChild was fighting other Hrims, I would set Moon Struck to only be used once or twice and then I'd Dew Shot the rest of the way. I knew that the chances of it going threw were slim to nil.
I know the formulae actually work because the majority of BD fights still occur within the percentages -- you get some odd balls, but that is what percentages are for. I run test scripts for randomization and everything -- the system works, but that doesn't mean it has to work for you Hey, I almost got screwed over by it until Fallen slaughtered herself (go Heart of the BD!).

Okay, now that all that ugliness is out of the way, referring people to BD? Hmm, it would be a good idea to set up a reward system for that, but I would need a way to track referrals. I would I do that, exactly? I could put it on the sign-up page, but then the new-comer would need to know the user name of the referrer. I think I would need the referree to receive some sort of link, right? Then I could get tried for spam.
  This hard. Head hurt.

I hate luck. I was just talking about luck earlier, and I don't have much of it. I just had my face numbed up yesterday so that they could cut the gum out of my face so that the tooth could come in and now I can't eat. Ain't that luckiest thing you've ever heard? Now I can't eat anything good, which includes all of those Christmas cookies that my mom made. It's always me, but I guess it has to be somebody.
That was a close battle between you and fallen. I was really hoping you'd go down for a change, but I guess that's not going to happen anytime soon. Oh, well. Thanks anyways. I'm heading towards yet another slaghtering, so ahh, whatever.

EDIt: I lost and I don't care! I only need 1 phreeking experience point to level up! Artimis is going to finally be grown up. (; ~*JOY*~ Somebody, anybody, please help me get that 1 last page view that I need so that I can stop quivering with excitment...or am I just quivering because it's cold by my computer? Anyways, Thanks!

EDIT2: ~*ExtremeHappiness*~ ^______________^ *appyHappyJoyJoy* It's about time! Now...what to boost. Agility, arcane, strike, too many choices! Please help, because I can't make decisions for anything. Thanks.

SSS....here's a decent tactic for boosting.

What is your weak point? I think for Nightchilds, er, Hrimfaxis, it's defense or something like that. So boost that. If you're satisfied with everything, boost Strike. I had to boost Defense....even now at LV13, I have like 50 or so....

  -----------
En garde, Evenfall! I have returned with new vigor, and now that we are yet again at the same levels, I believe that it is time that we have crossed swords again....please accept my challenge.

Errr....if I'm acting crazy, it's because I've been playing too much FF3. I'm racing Mace Windu as to who can beat the game faster, all sidequests included, but it's a hopeless race for me. He was halfway through the game when I started...now I've done one of the eleven sidequests, and he has done ten...grrr....errr.....Must Stop.

LE, thanks for the advice, but I gave Artimis the boost about a week ago. Yah...I don't even remember what I boosted, but thanks for actually repling. Nobody else could even manage to do that.

I don't have anybody to challenge, so maybe I will challenge you...I'll have to think about it...I don't know if Artimis feels like it. JK, Artimis is up to level 10, and there doesn't seem like there is anybody else worth challenging, and we haven't battled a kami...*looks up name* kamaitachi for...much to long. That is really terrible! I didn't even remember what they're called Well, I can't promise you a battle, but I'll sure think about it!

Yet ANOTHER humiliating loss to that stupid Monoceros bloody idiot! That makes my record 14/25! Now I'm furious, I'm going to start throwing tacos at random people. *toss* Ummm....I shouldn't have done that -- uhh, MintMan, don't keel me. I'm too young to...ahhhhhhh........!!!!!!

Well, as you know, I accept ALL challenges - I never declined except for once, when I was waiting for a friend's challenge (who couldn't fight me because I was LV10 and he was LV1).   Um, MintMan? I have an idea! Oh wait, it's not BD related. Just listen to me, for once. And put that club away. And the sword. Just...keep the assassins idle for now, will you?

You should put in something that allows people to set the clock on the forums to their own time. For me, that would be Pacific. I mean, it's always nine hours in the future in Reality's End for me, because I'm like in California, and I don't give a carne asada about Greenwich time.
