I hadn't thought about higher HP pets. Maybe in that kinda case, you could do a sort of thing, like a "Stronger Heal", or a "Heal Lv.2"? With more negative damage? I don't know, but that sounds more likely to work. If it would mess up your effects that make the game what it is, then screw my idea and fix your blasted healing your own way! lol

I'd like to see on the Dragoon is Jump (kind of like Fly in Pokemon, except it doesn't use MP, you just jump in the air for a turn, and come back down dealing double damage the next turn).

A Dragoon mounting? I always thought that sounded like a Ranger, but it'd still work for me since Nidhoggs have that Ferry move (he, he, that'll be fun).

EDIT: I removed the "I move" part because I did not want that in there. It's amazing that it got by me when I made the post.
Mario, Mario, Mario! What happened to Mr. Andretti?

  1) The "Jumping Dragoon" you are thinking of is simply a fabrication of the Final Fantasy series. Only there do Dragoons jump.

The true, utter definition of a Dragoon is "a mounted soldier," ie: 'dude on a horse.'

  2) A ranger is actually a close combat expert, so, in truth, it's like your flip-flopped. They'd probably be the ones using Jump while Dragoons ride. Freaky!

Why the Hel are you digging up the ghosts of the past, Mario? Let these freakin' posts rest, especially when you have nothing competent nor constructive to say!

I don't know why you would think Ranger's should be mounted, but I blutty hope it isn't because of the Lone Ranger. Rangers, like MG said, are close combat experts, although through the magic of Tolkien, they also became melded with a sort of wilderness warrior. It sorta makes sense since I do believe one of its other definitions is a sort of woodland protector (hence forest rangers).

And why would a Dragoon use an ability that uses no MP? In BD, "abilities" in battle are either attacks or scrolls, which consume MP. That is simply what they do. The only other things that exist are Skills, but those are primarily on familiars and have only non-battle use.

Arnt rangers use missile type weapons or 'ranged' weapons... I dunno, but I used to be into a lot of the fantasy s***, and I have never heard of a ranger being a master of hand to hand combat, that was more for the big chunky c***s. S***, even in PSO rangers are range attackers...
Maybe it all depends on who wrote the s***.

Look it up in the dictionary; rangers are close-combat experts. I do believe that is it word-for-word.

However, in phantasy gaming, they are primarily bowman. You will notice that most things still give them the two weapon ability or some sort of ambidexterity to allude as to their close-combat past. It is just Tolkien -- in possibly his worst move ever -- that made rangers the nature boys they are today. Well, he just started it; I think Dungeons and Dragons was the one that took it and ran.

Well how bout we go all crazy and decided there is actually 2 types of rangers, cause that seems about as right as I can think.
Oh, and I have noticed the 'editing of my posts' I'll try and knock down the unecasary female genitalia word, it may be hard, but I'll try to save you editing my posts...
