... again. I figure why not, right? I haven't made this post in this version of the forum yet, right?

Anyhoo, as anyone without the attention span of SPAM would know, the Monoceros is typed as the next formal addition, but many are unaware of prospective gifted monsters.

Six Grey, maker of the Jabberwocky, has the following in mind:
  - Kraken, everyone's favorite big crab-squid; Leviathen, most fearsome of all sea-monsters and biblical death bringer (wow!); and Ghost-doggies-with-red-ears, Ican't remember their names.

Sounds pretty good if you ask me. Hey, me! I have ideas (still), too!
  - Raiju, a Nihonji storm beast that resembles a cat, weasel, or badger (or? or? they all look really different! dem's be drinkin' too much saki); Phoenix, rejuvinating bird of fire and life; and slight notions for Chelufa, lava demon; Naga, serpentine devils; Raicho, shrieking thunderbird; and Seraphs, winged fire-snakes.

Whew, that's all of them. So, what do you think? If you have any suggests, comments, complaints, flames, or pies (^_^), we'd love to hear them ... again :/

Dem doggies are called the Cwn Annwn. You're not seeing things; those are in fact W's. It's Irish, so they can use those as vowels (apparently). I have no idea how those are supposed to be pronounced.
Well, I'd like to take this chance to spill out my new monster roster:
Monoceros: A massive mule with a single black horn protruding from its forehead and reaching four feet in length; it has a terrible bray and can pierce any material with its horn, acredited with much the same ability as the Unicorn (to which it is related).
Basilisk: King of the Reptiles; though smaller than most, every thing about it is poisonous from sight to touch, turning those who are unfortunate enough to see it into stone or killing a knight who stabs it with a lance along with the horse atop he rode.
Hydra: The nine-headed serpent of Lernea who, when one head was severed, two would regrow in its place; its breath and blood were filled with poison.
Hippocampus: The steeds of Posiedon that pulled his undersea chariot; their foreparts were that of a horse with fins replacing mane and hooves, but past its midsection, it was like a fish with a tail instead of legs.
Wyvern: One of the European classifications of a Dragon -- yes, another Dragon; it had wings and only two legs with a stinger on the end of its tail.
Garm: The four-eyed Guardian to Hel, allowing none to escape nor enter; it's howl would ring throughout all worlds at Ragnarok, the Extinction of the Powers of the gods.
Leucrotta: A curious creature with the body of a mule and the head of a badger with a mouth that extended all the way to its ears; this swiftest of land animals had but a single boney ridge in its mouth instead of teeth, and babbled in what sounded like a man's voice.
Salamander: The very embodiment of the fire element; a lizard who could extinguish flames by walking into them through the poisonous ooze it let out (it would probably start as an Ice type, and then become Fire).
Those are just a few of the future adoptable creatures that I have planned. I also have many enemies to add, but only a few on mind at the time:
Sea Dog: Comes from a time when it was believed that all creatures on land had counterparts in the sea; this was a scaley dog-like creature with three webbed-toes and fins.
Bonnacon: A creature so strange I simply could not pass it up as you shall soon see; it had the body of a cow, the main of a horse, curved, green horns, and to make it all fantastic, an excrement (i.e. poop) that it would release onto a pursuer that not only covered over two acres, but also held acidic properties, burning the hunter and most local plant life.
Hippocerf: The most useless made-up creature ever with the foreparts of a deer and the hind quarters of a horse; it does nothing but represent indecision and make a good, weak enemy to fight.
Snake-Griffon: More or less a Griffon with the head of a serpent... yes, it is also worthless but would seem like a decent enemy.
Will there be more? Of course... just later.... much later.

I was trying to think of a good bad guy, just to contriute some to a post, and, knowing nothing about mythology, I had to remember back to some monsters I've seen in games and stuff. I was thinking about a Beholder, those weird eye things from D&D. I don't really know what it's attacks would be, but it gives me a reason to ramble on, right?

Actually, the Beholder is largely a TSR monster.
There is apparently something from China that resembles a Beholder, but I don't know what it's name quite is. I think it was in some martial arts movie or something like Big Trouble In Little China
I'd have to check up on that, tho'...
But, yeah, if it didn't have a folkish basis, it couldn't be a creature.

hey i first suggested the pheonix.....
anyway it was like a year ago i suggested it everyone liked the idea nothing happened......then about a month or maybe 2 months ago i suggested it again in the old forum, again everyone liked it but i never got notification if it will ever be made on Reality's end. now i don't wanna sound bossy but it'd be nice to know if that idea will go anywhere, afterall i suggested it a year ago....and well..that's kinda a long time.

of course i suppose my drawings at the time (and now)weren't even close to the quality of the ones you guys make, i admit the pheonix is a hard character to draw but there's gotta be someone good enough to do it.
think of it this way since someone here had to draw pokemon at one point......it looks like moltres
i bet this post was a stupid one....well maybe...

Saying that you suggested the Phoenix is just like suggesting the Griffon or the Unicorn; of course they are going to be made eventually -- they are very popular monsters.
In Battling Dragons, assume all things of mythology to be made eventually. The question is simply "when".
And you hardly knew enough about the Phoenix to make it. You knew nothing of its ash egg or the little white worm. It takes actual knowledge of the creature to make its forms and attacks, ya know.

Actually, Phoenix was one of the first monsters I wanted to make (even before the Kamaitachi) when it was known that monsters even could be donated (and, having the inside info that i do, knew about it when BD was, well, really, really pathetic ). Unfortunately, birds are not my specialty, and when I drew it, it turned out looking like a heaping bowl of ugly. Now, tho, I have a look for the Phoenix, hence why I have put it on that list.

But, of course, being the freak that I am, have not choosen any of those monsters, and instead will prolly go with the Tatzelwurm, "worm with claws"! (click for early design sketches)

It's a rather awkward beast, varying from a rather small furry snake with the head and fore limbs of a cat that leaps well; all the way to a massive, four-legged, fire-breathing, winged, cat-faced dragon with impenitrable scales. Or, in some weird cases, a pole shaped fish-lizard with four stumpy legs. So, eyyy.

i didn't know much info about it because it wasn't approved to be made, and for good reason my drawing truly sucked. Anyway if it was going to be made (if my drawings were better) then i would do a whole bunch of research on it, basically i didn't want to get all this information for something i doubted would be made because of my sucky drawings, understand

uh Madgoblin.....i noticed on the bottom of your page (the one where u showed the monster thing) has two monsters, sorry if it's just an error or ya got a brother or sister, but if it isn't i remember mintman saying you can only own 1 monster, unless you get to something like level 30 or something like that......so i noticed your like 20 levels from that so why do ya have 2?

(that's odd, i could swear i already answered this? oh well)

Llorac is my brother's Jabberwocky. You see, I've been taking care of the Jabberwock's challenging routine since he had such back luck with choosing dead-beats all the time. I, having just gone though those levels, am familiar with who is good to fight or not, but that page I have (had, now) the two on is just more like an observation page. My website keeps track of how many people even view a page (my one at netfirms), and my brother only has his on a page with his counter. Since I don't want to unrightfully add to either of those, I just kill two birds with one stone and view them both at once for purposes of seeing if battles were accepted yet or not. And, since that page is also where I just stick HTML testing and what not, I just crammed the pic there until I was unlazy enough to rig it up through my picture viewing system.

Okay, I've bored you all enough, so, now the main purpose of what I came to say:

Kamaitachi, everyone's favorite sickle weasel, is getting a makeover. Having finally gotten one to the final stage, I realized how ugly it was and redrew it. So, yeah... ... ................

Actually, "Llorrac" is nothing more than "Carroll" (as in Lewis Carroll, writer of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass, in which the Jabberwock appears) backwards.
Ha! Take that Six Grey! Your secret is out! That's what you get for not finishing the end stages of the Jabberwock yet!

Which really shouldn't be too much of a task. The 'wock was slain by a little boy who looked like a girl in one slice of a sword. Pansy.

Writer, do you know what's even funnier? All those times he beat you, I was the one who did all the actual challenging and stuff! Six did nothing! You loses are really to me! Mwa-hahahahahahahahaha!

But yeah, new Kamaitachi picks. I should have 'em all scanned and prettied up by Friday. Of course, how many people actually have a 'tachi that close enough to going second form? ... None! *weeps openly* ...

You might've been the one to beat me, but you don't have a muffin. So, in a sense, I'm much better off than you are.

You know what I mean... at least I think....

Anyways, the pictures look cool, even though they got blurred up a bit. If only I had artistic talent....

The Kamaitachi (like the bestiary description for it) trips a person, slashes a human's legs, and then heals the wound. So, the blade's are for cutting... yeah....

And if you ask me, that Nidhogg deserves killin'. It's name is "Charizard." Feh!

I didn't trick anyone into fighting me, that sap deserves it. Here is why:

  1) As stated before, it's named Charizard! (laaaaammmmmeeeee)
  2) No one else (level 9-15) will fight me. That, or they will win.
  3) It only needs a butt-smidgit of XP before it turns level 10, and Llorrac needs a level 10 opponent to beat on in the future.
  4) And finally, ... the guy named it Charizard! C'mon! Llllaaaammmmmeeee!

And yes, Kamaitachi uses its sickles to slash stuff. I mean, what? Is it suppose to work on the farm reaping grain? ... hey, it could!
