I understand that a wait command would be practically useless, but I think that every creature should be able to use it anyways. What I mean is that (especially for the basilisk) it would be nice to avoid the confusion status for a while whilest your opponent suffers in agony from poison. But also for other creatures it might enchance the strategy of the game. (in very rare occasions)

I think 'rare occasion' is the reason that MK18 hasn't instituted it.

Defending, generally only useful in games with multiple characters, also normally regenerates something (stamina, magic, etc), but, alas, as you stated, it'd only have limited uses. Too much trouble would probably go into making it, and it'd only (really) help out the Basilisk/ make battles against early level Hrimfaxis all too easy (you get confused, defend, defend, defend, hrimfaxi gets screwed).

At least, I believe I'm reflecting the master's opinion. ... Right?

More or less, yes. Also, based on confusion's chance of actually working (25%), you are technically better off just attacking than waiting.

I would never make a Wait command, and a Defend command would be near useless in a real-timed system and undermine defensive spells somewhat.
The only thing you'll ever see like that in BD is either a Focus command that either raises attack power or hit chance, or a magic-regenerating command. The magic one would loose most of its influence after level ten when magic loss is hardly ever a concern, and the Focus one would require me to create another status condition, which I am really, really lazy as far as going about it is concerned.

However, new commands aren't too farfetched an idea. I have to make a Rune Casting command, so maybe some other things aren't too far away.

BTW, look at what I've been thinking of. It's like stat-boost commands without using magic.

Nidhogg/Basilisk: Yournamehere is repairing its egg (restore 5% hp)
Kamaitachi: Yournamehere is sharpening its claws (+5% attack)
Hrimfaxi: Yournamehere surrounds itself with light (+5% virtue)
Monoceros: Yournamehere runs around (+5% agility)

I know these are stupid (Kamaitachi is the only that makes sense). But then again, I'm stupid too.

P.S. Thanks for the JScript help MintMan.

Um, don't they just have spells to do stat-raising things? And five percent? That's more or less worthless.

Besides, by all technicality, all of those would be subject to the same confusion-switching any other action is. Yes, you can cast supplimental spells on enemies. Think Shelling your foe makes no sense? Think again!

Kamatatchi fails to identify himself. Kamatatchi sharpens his opponents claws.

Nidhogg raises its Shell's strength and accidentally makes its opponent stronger.

Like I said -- its how those things work. Kamaitach is probably the least likely of the group, but that light thing for Hrim? Easily confused as is the healing of eggs. That run around thing for Mono barely makes any sense to me....

Yah, I have to side with MM on this. Monoceros runs around? Monoceros runs around and Hrimfaxi's agility went up! Sorry, but if you just think about it, it sounds...makes no sense *laughs uncontrollably* *checks the spelling of monoceros so not to be laughed at* I spelled it correctly! *adds a r to correctly* Go me! *cough* That was a neat suggestion though, especially for hrimfaxis. They'd have stat boosts all of the time from confussion. Then I might even stand a chance against a monoceros.

MM? I know this has been mentioned before by Evenfall, but I don't remember you answering it. How to monoceroses horn themselves? Very carefully I guess. Really though, do they miss and crash into a tree and get stuck or something? I have some very creative ideas there, don't I? You never really thought about how a monoceros horns itself, did you? That is why you didn't answer it before. Uhhh... *runs for Artimis's life* Hey, you can't kill me, but the guy with control over the entire game can delete accounts, you know? I've been thinking about that lately. *blink* Uhhh... *continues running stupidly forgetting the speed of Entrophy* One more thing that I just thought of. If I were to challenge you, MM, would you accept? Just wondering.
Edit: Hrimfaxis don't even really have claws to sharpen, do they?
If there is something wrong, it's probably my fault.

A monoceros could turn around to gore itself. Horse necks are very limber.

Challenge? Um, I might have to. I'm not going to have much to fight with in coming days. I just jumped up to level seven, and I have to wait until level ten until I can challenge 'Hoggs again. Maybe I have to engage in.... a fair fight!

Oh...you passed me up. Too bad. Say good bye to any chance of challenging me that you had. I know that I'm not going to catch up anytime soon so kill that ideal. Maybe if my sister keeps leaving up faster than you she could challenge you. She currently has a level 3 monceros, level 4 after this battle. I know that she is going to pass me up in no time flat. I've been helping her with her battles and they seem to go much quicker than mine, but what's a girl to do. Oh well.
About you challenging stargoku...I don't think he is very active. If I'm not mistaken, I challenged him a while back and he didn't respond. Maybe I just caught him on a bad week though. Who knows.

Hmmm... I thought Fallen was the only active Monocerous. Give my best regards to your sister, SSS, it's always nice to see someone else who can tame that powerfully wild beast (ie: I'm not the only one who has a Monocerous as a familiar).

You know, if you placed Artimis on a very simple Notepad-designed Geocities page...

  <.!-- Begin RE Adoption --.>
  <.script language="JavaScript" src="http://www.realitysend.com/cgi-bin/adoptimage.pl?sailorsassystar">
  <.!--End RE Adoption --.>
  <./DIV>
  <./BODY>
  <./HTML>

...ignoring the '.'s I placed in the HTML tags, you can have people actually viewing your familiar and being able to battle her directly. This can help Artimis by also letting her get experience from site hits.

I haven't seen much action out of SG either. In the meantime, MintMan, would you and NightChild like to challenge me and Fallen?

NightChild and Fallen would technically be a battle in the air. Your strength gives you an advantage, but my confusion could turn tables.
But in actuallity, my luck sucks. Hard. Look at my last battle. I missed three times in a row with a spell. Achem. Your Monoceros also pars my Hrimfaxi's Arcane with Virtue, eliminating my spell edge. I think I'll stay away from challenging you....

Yeah, I kinda figured SG was inactive. Well, you can't really tell when people are inactive, tho'. Some just delete the challenge e-mails they don't want to participate in instead of canceling it. Big mistake. He just got a gym a little bit ago for the GS REL, so I figured he couldn't be all that dead. Besides, he's the last level seven 'Hogg that I can take on... until I blast Foshi and his pals. They are so screwed with their four-on-one page-ness. Feh.

Yeah, Monocero's strength makes them quick battlers, like a 'Hogg with ShadowBurner/Blast. Hrimfaxi's are more a strategic creature, relying on curation and confusion for their tactics.

Yeah, moceroses rock. I've been helping my sister, DoomStar. She just finished/won her 5th battle. She doesn't really know how to find a good challenge, so I pick out the victims for her. She has battled a couple of people that MM have previously flattened. I find her oppenents that are a level up, so that they think that they have the advantage, and they're goners. She'd be nowhere without me. Actually, she origionally had a kamitaichi, but she never did anything with it so I threaten to tell MM to kill her account. She said that the only reason that she didn't use it is because she didn't know what to do, so I helped her fix that. Go me
If there is something wrong, it's probably my fault.

  My win ratio stinks. 11/15.

I draw back my move set. Speak of it no more.

Fallen. Fallen. Fallen. How darest thou beat me? Stupid Horn attack. And NightChild...is like at LV9 in two days. Please, MintMan? I want to fight NightChild. Accept my challenge when you are LV9. Please? It's not like I'm going to win.

Oh, come on, LE. I have a 22/27 win ratio. I've lost more than you have, and I only have battles to rely on. You have hits from your site. Besides, you're the only one who can really defeat Fallen with near even stats (I say that because level-8 hatchling Pyrus whipped my tail as easily as he whipped yours). You beat me 4 times, remember? Although I beat you 3 times, so we're near even.

DoomStar, hm? You know, she was my absolute first battle, back when I had my Nidhogg Eden. She and DeathStar put up quite a fight, but in the end, Eden and I won our maiden battle.

I couldn't resist getting a Monocerous when MintMan released them, but once Fallen reaches level 25, I plan on having a Nidhogg as my second familiar. Named... you guessed it, Eden.

Let me know when DoomStar and Aurora hit level 10, okay? I'd like to have a worthy challenger, not to mention I'd really like to battle another Monocerous.

Heh, heh. NightChild battling Fallen not quite in your favor yet, is it? By the way, you didn't alter the stat-creation program to give NightChild superpowers? I applaud you, MintMan, you're one of the few game masters out there who has enough honesty to play on an even field like the rest of us.

But the confusion factor truly is a lot more deadly than it seems. Fallen almost lost to Hoshikuzu by Horning himself and missing Hoshi several times. And the Kamataichi Blur/Gash factor. There are a lot of things that can overtake brute strength.

But not when it comes down to just two Horns and an opponant's nice, weak overall defense. Oh, and did I mention soon-to-be Uncapturable and a level-10 stat booster? *grins*

Game designers playing on a level battle field? Hey, I never cheated either... well, except that one time, but it was for bug testing purposes... I guess it doesn't really matter, since none of my games involve playing with other people or anything... but still....

Wait a second... you say Mintman's playing on a level battle field... Well, he's not cheating, but when you think about it... he knows everything about the game, besides random chance, he can probably tell who will win which battle. And with all those hits he gets, his creature quickly becomes super-powered, whilst mine is still stuck in 11....

Oh, and Mintman, if you ever need a Lv 11 Nidhogg to kill (or maybe it was lv 12...) Feel free to fight me. Even if I lose, which I probably will, it would bring a tear to my eye to know that I contributed to the awesome creature that NightChild will undoubtedly become.

You actually think that Doomstar and Aurora will catch up to Fallen?! That'll be the day. If it ever did happen it would be long from now when you possibly lose interest and stop battling for a while(or because of work) and she has time to sneak up on you.
You were her first battle back when she had a kamitaichi? Wow...now that you mention it...I think I remember...Eden? That explains alot. Ok, got ya. Anyways, about getting a geocite, I've been trying to get a website for a while and it just hasn't been working. I signed up for a netfirms a while back and have no clue what so ever where to type anything in. I'll try again with geocites since I've heard it is the best easy one, but I messed it up last time and it was asking for a credit card # Whatever
About battle records, what are you 2 complaining about? You are both on the 1st page of rankings! I'm still at the top of the 2nd and I do believe that I've been playing longer than you...although that probably doesn't matter seeing how fallen has only been in a few more battles and McBlur a few less. Nevermind...
If there is something wrong, it's probably my fault.

  When did Hoshikuzu ever fight you? I don't remember fighting Fallen... ever! Or maybe it's just 'cause I have a very very bad memory. ^^;

Ah ha ha ha! The confusion factor is very deadly indeed. I win most of my battles confusing the opponent and making 'em kill themselves. *evil grin*

Yup, Hoshi battled Fallen once... Hoshi also battled Eden. Hoshi trampled Eden into the dust. It seems that Hoshikuzu is fond of long, close battles, but Hoshi always used to intimidate me since Eden's loss. I vowed to avenge him, and so we have. *shrugs*

Now I have yet to avenge Fallen's loss by Pyrus... *looks thoughtful*

Aww, another lot to respond to. Okay, lemme try to recall everything....

Okay, no, neither NightChild nor Entropy enjoyed any special benefits. They both play a fair game. I do, however, know so much about the game that chance is my greatest foe (and it attacks me in the foulest way quite often *cough cough* missing with three Dew Shots in a row *cough*).

Yeah, I think I'm going to have to challenge you all eventually. I have to try to get my battle amount up in any way possible. Maybe I'll get around to challenging more when I get my second boost. Yes yes. You all should be at level ten too when I get there. Sure I get tons of hits, but so long as I am engaged to be battled, I receive no experience.

Sweet monkeys of Odin, Evenfall! You have your battle logs from that far back? Man, I wish I'd thought of that

Netfirms? They have FTP access only. You can't actually type in the code to input files. You have to use some sort of program to connect to the site and upload the files. Complicated, yes, but I found out how to do it easy enough. Just open MS-DOS, type in ftp at the prompt followed by your FTP site (Netfirms should provide you with what it is. Gobbo sez its ftp.netfirms.com). Once connected, type in user name and password and cd to the www directory. If you need to find out what commands to use, type in help. It gives a list of commands.
Simply said, put uploads a file, get retrieves a file, ls lists files in a directory, cd changes the directory, and lcd changes the local directy (where on your computer you send and receive files).
