I want to get out of a fight and I check yes and it brings me to a page that says: Either you or your opponent has not been selected to fight against. I don't want to fight them anymore, I want to try and fight someone else. No we haven't even started the fight yet.

No, I completely understand.
Just a few minutes ago I checked my mail to find two adoption challenges. To my great surprise, there were no cancelations to be seen. Who was the first person to challenge me? You guess it (or maybe not) -- Deathman.
For some reason, Deathman or his account has some sort of bypassing that I have unforseen or unpredicted. His account isn't showing up as challenged or some gobbily gook like that. I'll cancel the battle for you so that you're free to challenge someone else. I'll have to keep my eye on Deathman's account to see what's up.

For some odd reason, when you are challenging people, you can find a way to get un-challenged while they remain so. It is quite confusing.
Have you been cancelling the last couple battles you've challenged people into by any chance?
