A nice li'l person named Rachel B. has stumbled upon Battling Dragons and wanted to adopt a Gryphon. Since it doesn't exist, she decided that she would make one.
I'm all for this. If the Gryphon is made, then I can make the Hippogriff without having to make this creature I really wasn't looking forward to. I'm learning a lot from the experience of having someone who's not family making a BD creature for submittal. The process gets hair at times since she's not a BD member currently, but what can ya do? Force people to sign up before they submit a creature? That would just result in some dud accounts.
Here are some of the pics of the Gryphon. I liked the old picture she had of the fledgling, but she felt that it needed to be darker since Gryphon young are supposed to be camouflage.

Hmm... I'm not sure about that hatchling image. It looks just a little odd. Also, as you said earlier, the background doesn't quite fit in with the BD theme. Maybe if the fledgling Gryph had a midnight or twilight scene in the background that'd be cool, but as it stands, it seems out of place.

I am in approval of the egg and adult at least. The adult looks pretty neat.

This'll be the first time a four-stage creature comes out though. Can you imagine the kinds of stat bonuses this creature'll get? I fear for my Monocerous's life as it is! *imagines Fallen getting the crap beaten out of him by an angry Gryph*

All in all, her work is pretty good I have to admit. Much better than I could ever do... I'd approve of seeing it in the bestiary. By the time Gryphs are fightable, Fallen should be around level 9 or 10.

*has hallucinations about kitsune in the bestiary*

Four form? It is only a three form! BD creatures can only have two to three forms; that last picture is just a spell used by its mature form, the Gryphon Lord.

Yeah, the form pictures have some light backgrounds, but I think she's making the spell pics have all black now... at least I think I told her to make them that way. I did have to write that e-mail to her twice due to a compy screw up.

Also, 'Fall, in case it's not cleared, two form and three form creatures all have the same stats, for they all have three 'stat stages.'
... it's a confusing and senseless as a monkey with a wheat thrasher to me, but that's just how it goes.

I for one can not truly express feeling towards the Gryffon. It's nice to see outsiders taking interest, but there is just something unsettling to it...
If it makes it in, I won't be mad, but, if it doesn't, I won't be sad :\
Lair of Mad Goblin - Home Lost Soul, a far from average Pocket Monster Fanatic Fiction, and my personal brand of home grown insanity...

Not Quite Heroes - On-line comic that's everything but normal. Everything from diabolical meat by-products to men comprised of mayo jar...
