i know yor busy mintman, but i took notice of a good monster called the chimera....unbelievably there are two types, the three headed dragon, and the three headed dog, who guardes the undeworld. the dragon one has three diffeent looking heads one lookinh like a normal dragon, the second looking like an eagle head, and the third looking like a lion's head.
each head on the three headed dragon chimera has different abbilitys, one being fire, the second being electricity, and the third being acid.
nomal dragon head has power of acid (probably should be fire) the eagle head has the power of electricity, and the lion head has the power of fire.
unfortunately i don't have much info on the three headed dog. so i cannot mention any of its powers.
closely related to a dragon with one head that has one of those abliltys.
the three headed dog however, i don't have much info on.
anyway it seems like a good monster, so if u think so also tell me and i'll try to look into it to see if i can get more information on both types of chimeras, and possibly get a pic so u know what it exactly looks like
i bet this post was a stupid one....well maybe...

Yeah, here's the thing. First off, I don't need any monster suggestions. I have more than enough ideas backed up.
Second, if you are going to use the Chimera, at least use it correctly.
The Chimera (pronounced ky' - mayr - uh) was the beast slain by Bellerophone and the Pegasus. It had three heads: that of a Goat, a Dragon, and a Lion. In some depictions, it would be given a Sperpent for a tail (sometimes this was the Dragon head). It had the body of a lion and large, black bat wings / dragon wings. The beast brothe Fire and Fire alone. Anything else you've heard must have been an addition to the beast from a video game. The description is actually fairly well set for the myth.
The three-headed dog is Cerebus, the Hound of Hades. It guarded the gates from any intruders or escapees. It too sometimes had a Serpent Tail. That is the most common description of it. On rare occasion, more serpentine features were given to it. These are typically rogue deviations, however. Older documentation is usually taken as the more accurate. The Dark Ages weren't a good time for keeping accuracy of description.

i never saw anything about a goat head, but your the mythical monster expert i guess...
i did only a little bit of research since i wasn't sure u would even consider it, basically i guess the three headed dog somehow got mixed up in what i was reading about the chimera. must've been reading too fast :P
although it is not useable now since my information is screwed up and too many monsters are going to be made currently, it still seems like a good monster.......it may useable later, like in a year or 2 when all the work on the bdrpg, and gilded jewel is over.
anyway i admit i got the idea partly in a game; however i just looked up the name since it sounded familiar, and that little bit of information, and some incorrect information was the result. ok i think im done with that, anyway sorry fo the messed up information mintman

i got the name from the game, i looked it up since it looked like a useable monster, i found out it was useable one, but i got messed up information because the page i saw kinda mixed up stuff even more than i did.
so yea...all i really got was the name to look up from the game, i guessyou can consider i got it from the game, but i didn't just look at the monster and guess it was useable, i looked it up. unfortuantely for me, i got wierd information so i kinda messed up that one.
i think that explains the stupidity of me making this post.....i bet this post was a stupid one....well maybe...

Thing is, the word "Chimera" has been integrated into meaning any creature of mixed species (it is even an accepted scientific term now, methinks).
So technically, that is correct -- it just wasn't the original Greek mythological version.

Are you sure thats how its spelt? We got a dog called Chimaera but we pronounce it Chim eera is the Chimaera and Chimera to totally different things? Well there ya go if there the same then I tought yas how to spell it :/ and you tought me to pronounce it!!!!I am lord of the lair my lair
I would think those two words entirely different things. Where did you even get the name Chimaera from? That's just some odd spellin'...
According to my sources, that would be pronounced something like "ki - may - ra". My Greek pronounciation isn't tops, tho', but I know enough mythology to get by.

It's obviously not FFX, as the Chimera in that game has an eagle head for water, and a lion head for fire, and it has a serpentine tail for lightning.Mario, Mario, Mario! What happened to Mr. Andretti?

Oh, by the way, speaking about new creatures, I think that a Bowser-like creature will be a good thing. I mean really: it has the ability to burn you, bite you, Whirling Fortress, Crimson Koopa Cannon, and other cool abilities.
Also, one impossible but interesting idea. It would be very cool if BD was made like Super Smash Bros. Melee - that is, when you want to battle someone, you can control your familiar and your opponent can control his/her familiar in some sort of stage. I'm wondering if that's possible...to fight someone live and on-line...hey the people at Blizzard did it, why can't MintMan?LieutenantEagle

1st off, BattleDragons is made off mythological creatures, not video game super stars.
2nd Where the fudge have you been LE? MadMario has been making post like there's no tomorrow.
3rd Even if MM could create such a game he has much else to do. If you've really read much of the forums you'd know that MM just started college and the books should be pouring in anytime now.
4th I know that it is probably going to be a long time before the next new creature comes out, but I had one in mind. A long time ago I heard about this giant spider creature. I don't remember what it was called though, something with an A I believe. That would be really cool.If there is something wrong, it's probably my fault.
