I just released those three new classes recently, and none of you all had a chance to become them.
Hence, I am announcing now that if any of you want to convert to one of the newer classes (Ranger, Druid, or Shepherd) just post here and I'll change it all for ya.

hahaha, sheperd, do we get to do the New Zealand thing and root sheep?

And with the new classes, what leans towards the big ugly thug fella that can't prenounce correctly, I see no class called a "Camo" so I just wanna be the closest thing.

if you would describe the techniques of the new classes i may think of changing......and since in the bdrpg the owner of the dragon/hmrifaxi/jabberwocky/kamikatchi actually help fight the enemy it'd be nice to know about attacks, spells the new classes may have.

also knowing if it has any changes on your creature would be nice to know...
i bet this post was a stupid one....well maybe...

Oh yes, descriptions might be nice. I just realized had never added them since the classes didn't do much before now.

  • Dragoon:
What it is: A mounted warrior; more or less, a knight save untold nobility.
What it does: In the RPG, it is the completely average. Every stat is the same as the other.
Starting Spell: Heal - Light, removes damage from itself or familiar.

  • Beast Tamer:
What it is: Think of a barbarian that watches over the tribe animals -- mean, nasty, and thick.
What it does: This is the typical Warrior class; lots of strength and physical battle statistics.
Starting Spell: Forceful Blow - Typeless, an overpowered physical attack.

  • Summoner:
What it is: Another name for a conjurer; more or less, a magician. They were also supposedly able to summon elements to do their bidding.
What it does: This makes the heavy-magic class. It lacks actual physical traits, but makes up for it more than enough with arcane prowess.
Starting Spell: Magi Blast - Sorcery, a normal magic attack spell.

  • Ranger:
What it is: Historically speaking, it is both a close-combat fighter and a guarding of woodlands.
What it does: This is a catch-all class. It can fight and use magic well, but masters neither. It prizes nimbleness over actual physical power, tho'.
Starting Spell: Vine - Plant, slows a chosen target.

  • Druid:
What it is: Celtic priests that did crazy moon-dances and used golden sickles and mistletoes and such.
What it does: This acts as the priest/cleric class. It is the undisputed virtue king with less arcane power than a Summoner but more physical characteristics.
Starting Spell: Rage - Nature, increases Strength, Speed, Agility, and Defense slightly.

the healing spell proves useful, i think dragoon would be best, for now, unless other classes learn it later

If that is just a bit too stupid of a question, then PLEASE pardon me, I am Insane at this time.

In the RPG, your human character is the level. Your creature (regardless of training) will have the same level as your character, but its stage, attacks, and boosts won't revert to that level. Fighting outside of the RPG is mostly a way just to power up inside of it.

so how do are characters level up? do they level after our creatures level up a few times..or is it when the transform from an egg to dragon..or something like that?

it would be nice for my dragoon to have a bit more to do with the game...it's attacks either always miss..or don't do anything...but heal is pretty good

maybe the character should level with battle experience also, i mean it is fighting..so why not get some exp for your character and not only the creature?

Like I've said over a thousand times, the characters exist in the RPG. Hence, they will level up in the normal fashion of an RPG.
You walk around with your familiar and fight along side of it. Your character gains experience and levels from these. Your creature gains the same, like I've already said, but may not surpass the character in level, only in stage.

  oops sorry mintman......

one more thing........when will using the test battle be able to at least give us some exp.....very few challengers i'd stand a chance against are on the battle board so it'd be nice to know how much longer i must wait before getting a decent amount of exp.......so...will it be any time soon?

Well, there is a wee problem with that. The first RPG to come out will most likely be the e-mail RPG (the base RPG which will be played if no cartridge is selected). Thing is, to get the e-mail RPG up, I need to get Cron up.
And I've tried everything. Cron just isn't working, no matter how many sets of instructions I follow. I've contacted the host for help, and I'm waiting to see what they have to say.
And don't expect that much XP. The first rendition of the battle system will only grant enough XP to raise a creature from level one to level five, which translates into bupkis for higher levels.

Yeah, and most of the people that are in my level range haven't changed the address yet, so I can't challenge them, since their codes are not yet updated. *sigh*, I want to kill someone I still can.

well then mintman i propose u make some monsters for certain levels....like the snake thing for level 1 to 5....and some other monsters for every 5 levels.

please consider this, player battles seem to be dwindling lately....and i gotta get some exp!!!

  Like I already said: No!
Giving such a ladder would make people not battle for real and level up solely in the RPG. I'm not doing that until the RPG leaves Beta (and even then, it'll take a long, MUDder try).
As for those not-changed addresses, I'm putting up the "last viewed" function. Secretly already, the last known time a creature was viewed has been being recorded. This function will allow you to search for people's sites that actually have confirmed the existence of their creature with it being viewed in the last so-much frame of time.

  Well aren't we blutty impatient?
The changes won't even matter until the basic RPG is out, so I'm not going to do it until I get close to that time.
I've got a lot of stuff planned for RE. I think the schedule for it is packed quite tightly...
