It just seemed a little off. I mean, I always thought Zedd had a sort of eastern influence to him what with the bamboo and all; why would someone like that sport a symbol exclusive to Nortern European cultures?

Besides, I'd think that it would still look pretty much like "a standard long scar." It was never noted before that the scar looked like any sort of symbol, so it has got to look close to a plain ol' scar, right?
