I'm posting this in the main comments instead of the Author Channel considering that we've only got three authors right now, and I don't want to exclude potential additions (I'm such an optimist).
Yes, I did the entire brawl. The story was open for a couple of weeks. Anyone else who wanted in could have taken it, so I opted for moving it along. We should discuss how we want to do the rest of the battles. Should they be one-on-one or multiple challenges? How many contestants should we have? Obviously we don't need to document every fight, but we should at least establish a number and have an idea of the bracket system for continuity's sake. Most importantly, does anyone really care? (The word "care" being relative to this site; obviously in normal terms, the answer is no.) Reply

Re: Re: Further Battles
I think it'd be safe to say that at least the 3 main characters will be advancing. :D I would also imagine that, for the sake of diversity, all the other surviving competitors should have different kinds of familiars. If anyone is ambitious enough, we could even try to incorporate some B-Monsters or others from the bestiary.
As for the structure...I really don't know what would be the best way to tackle it. Above all else, it would probably be best to outline it in the next addition or so in order to avoid any later confusion or mishaps. If it will be an elimination-style tournament, for example, then the number of participants would have to be a power of 2 (2, 4, 8, 16, etc.) if we're sticking with one final winner.
Another crazy idea would be to have ever-changing rounds and rules if we have enough participants to go through. So it could be one-on-one elimination to get rid of half of the competitors, then maybe two-against-two roundrobin, or something wacky like that? Only if we want to risk it, mind you. :p
The more complicated the structure is going to be, the more forethought the battles will require beforehand. Reply

Havent got much time for an addition at present but I'm just throwing out this idea...
Maybe for one of the random matches have say a B-Monster that is incredibly strong and force a couple of characters to team up in order to beat it... only to be turned against each other in later rounds as members are eliminated...
oh and some one do summaries ;) Reply

Wait, THIS is the recent activity?
Dude, the story is dead and buried. Of all the things to bring back, why this one? It was perhaps one of the most plot-holed and ruinous stories of all time.
Just let it sleep, man. Much better things to put effort into. Reply
