In Myth:
The Scitalis was a winged dragon that possessed only front legs. Its scales were of many colours and shimmered beautifully such that any witness to them would be frozen in admiration. The Scitalis used this time to kill the onlooker, which was necessary for it traveled very slowly.
The heat generated from the Scitalis's scales allowed it to come out into open air even on the coldest winters.
The name Scitalis comes from "scitulus", which means "elegant."
