In Myth:
The Leucrotta was a strange creature that was the size of an ass but had the head of a badger, neck, tail, and foreparts of a lion, and the hindparts of a deer. Its mouth extended all the way to its ears. Inside, the Leucrotta had only a single, bony ridge instead of teeth or gums on its upper and lower jaw.
The Leucrotta was said to be able to mimic human speech, although it could not speak any language itself.
It was reportedly the fastest of all land animals.
The Leucrotta is most likely based on the Hyena.
