The Behemoth is varyingly described as a hippo, an elephant, or a combination of both. It was the male counterpart to Leviathan, and also its land counterpart. Its bones were made of brass. ![]() So large was the Behemoth said to have been that it could consume thousands of acres of vegetation or the Jordan River in a single gulp. The desert of Dendain was said to extend over its back or on top of its chest. At Armageddon, the Behemoth and Leviathan are to be slain by the archangels. Some accounts say that the Behemoth was slain by God to prevent it and Leviathan from reproducing. In medieval times, the Behemoth became a temptor, representative of the Deadly Sin of Gluttony. Future Development: The Behemoth was specifically chosen as an enemy for the BD RPG. It is a fully developed monster, however, so there would be no problem turning it into a full-fledged adoptable creature. Content-type: text/html
